looks like we went on the same day, it was my first time at swan to, I rode a yz490 it was a blast! even though I ate dirt 5 times and broke a finger in that badly rutted turn. can't what to go again!
I ride it the most out of my local tracks. Not really many complaints honestly. Pretty fun easy track and the ruts get pretty deep sometimes if you like ruts.
at least you explain about the inverted controls. Every other video says how to do the default way by moving both sticks to the right or left can't do that. Need to split them. One goes right the other goes left
Yo Austin! thanks for posting all the rad austin area content, There's a MTB RU-vidr, Nate Hills, that does "Follow Cam Fridays" thats pretty sick. Sooo MTBers don't get roosted - following is less #$%^y than in moto. Buuuut if you did a couple laps follow-cam style with a rider that was similar speed and also high skill level - those could be pretty good vids.
I appreciate the videos of all of the Austin area tracks. What would you say is the most beginner friendly track in terms of layout, conditions, turnout, etc? I'm considering getting back into the sport after an extremely long hiatus and would like to ease back into things at my own pace & not feel like I'm in the way or having to constantly stress about mud, deep ruts, etc. Thanks!
Murphys would be the most friendly track in the area as far as features are concerned, but is usually quite busy. Come later if a crowd is a problem. If you want a pretty empty track with big features you can roll and work up to without guys flying over your head, try Austin Moto Park in Del Valle on a Thursday.
Yeah he’s right I would definitely recommend murphys. It’s usually a little busy, but yeah maybe try and come around 11 or 12 and some of the crowd might be thinning out by that time.
