Grenfell is also about ideology. The notion of a small state, that can do more with less, is the fundamental lie. There is a minimum cost to everything. We just may not accurately measure the overall cost but if we do, we often find that the 'lowest cost' is actually more expensive. We have to get the idea into public consciousness that there is a minimum cost to any activity. If you lower costs by reducing the salaries of staff, you have people who then have to rely on charities or other public assistance. The turnover may increase, which, when you take training into account, may drive up overall costs for the company. We seem to have forgotten that there is no free lunch. For this, however, I clearly blame the media: not challenging the nonsensical manta 'do more with less'. At one point, it may have been a valid premise, but at some point it ceases being plausible.
See this is Labour at their best. They drove a wealthy man from the country so he took his money away. Why should he give whatever Labour thinks into a pot that benefits nobody but Labour.
To Charlie Mullins "personally" . . . I listen to all talk-based UK stations, and often have heard your voice. I do not watch television, I listen to my DAB+ Radio. My only "visual representation" to put a face to your voice [apologies for this!] created your face to be very much different from what [today: 5th September 2024] I just researched via GOOGLE IMAGES. Please take this as "complimentary" when I honestly state with sincerity that your voice prior to seeing your face made me dislike you, but after seeing how "strikingly Rod Stewart" you appear, I now find I feel endeared and sincerely respectful of you. I am an idiot; I often get "panic attacks" when I over-hear "aggressive male voices near-by", but this has inspired me to "look before I leap--to ridiculous unconscious-bias!" Dean "Smart"

Hi Matt’s, the thing about surge pricing is it’s something you may have accepted, but it’s not popular. It’s a way of fleecing the worker, instead have a fair price for everyone and chargers face value. This should apply for any goods or service. You talk about the issues of the far right, but it’s these micro “aggressions” that feed the whole thing. The people I know who are most upset by this, are the neoliberal capitalist/ Brexit / reform voters 🤷♂️.

I have never agreed with Charlie Mullins. He forgot his east end roots and is a hypocrite who doesn't like employees to have rights and is too much a believer in cheap labour. Tory through and through and loves the rich poor divide. I for one don't give a flying fuck that he has left the UK and think any millionaires who leave should be barred from returning for 25 years.
