Yes and so do I lol... I never get tired of turning these. I believe these are numbers 75-78 or so. I have made a few extra special ones throughout the last few years and for #100 I have something planned as well... thanks for the comment! -KC
YES! One of my favorite toys to make. I have just been surprised at how many young adults do not know how to make them work! I commonly teach all my grandkids how to use them.
I volunteered for several years at Moffitt in the Chemo Infusion Center and saw the wonderful donations of mostly knitted items for the patients. I was always amazed and gladdened by the thoughtfulness of those folks who took time to make them. Your wig stand will be greatly appreciated by whom ever receives it. Beautiful wood and workmanship. Thanks from this cancer patient.
Hey Matt thanks for checking out the video! I hope you love turning as much as I do.. be creative and try new tools wood finished etc. The possibilities are virtually endless!
Impressive turning. Never seen anyone else do something similar. Enjoy the pace of your videos and you not over powering them with needless music. Happy Easter.
You do extremely good work and make some beautiful work, but I think you would get a lot lot more views if you put a narrative with you work. Keep up the good work
Thank you Dave I do appreciate the feedback. I’m working on speaking more in videos that I am currently editing for my next releases. Thanks again for your kind words on my work and for checking out my channel! -Ken
Thank you so much for your videos Santa. You have inspired me to get back into my shop. Over the past month, I have turned 10 bowls. You have also taught me how to improve my surface finish. Thanks. I am now in the process of making 8 handles to go with 4 of the bowls to be presents at my father-in-law’s 85th birthday. All the wood for those 12 items came from a white oak he had taken down in his back yard. They are going to his children and grandchildren. They all have wonderful memories of growing up with that tree! Thank you.
Michael that is incredible to hear! 10 bowls….. that’s impressive. I am inspired by so many so I really appreciate being able to give some of that umph back as well… thanks for sharing. -Ken
Lovely work but it needs better editing to shorten some of your work people don't want to watch you varnish for 10 minutes and stop people fast forwarding.
Thank you very much! I have to agree I’ve never been an oak fan per se but the oak I’ve found in Florida has been way different than what I have been used to and had some very different grain pattern.
You do very nice work. Being an old wood turner I love to hear the wood being shaved away as I turn. I think your subscribers are missing out on half the joy of turning because you play music during the video. Thats just my opinion so take it for what its worth. You know us old guys, we have lots of opinions 😂
I must have forgot to add that on this one sorry! This is Mahoneys walnut oil. It will dry to a matte finish. Once that dries I will add either some wax or even a spray lacquer. Needs dry time before the spray though!
@@444woodworks Thanks. I have gone to Walnut oil as well. I normally buy mine in the grocery store. (Food quality oil). I do love how it looks and feels.
