Hey, I'm making a story for you on Christmas called "Billy's Ghostly Christmas" which is about Billy being visited by four ghosts before Christmas that teach him not to be annoying and what being helpful is all about, and Billy becomes a helpful engine. Here are the quotes: Emily: I'm E-Marley's ghost, and I'm here to warn you to stop being such an annoying engine! Thomas: I think we need more steam. [wheeshes more steam] Billy: J-j-j-just g-g-go away! Emily: You shall be visited by three more ghosts before Christmas. Whooo! The Fat Controller says he needs you to go to the docks tonight, or you'll be in big trouble! Billy: B-big trouble? Emily: [giggles] This plan of yours is great fun, Thomas! [Billy arrives at the docks] Narrator: Billy raced quickly into the docks. He had been scared by the ghost, and didn't like the sound of being in even more trouble! Billy: S-Sir? Are you here, Sir? [hears Cranky snoring] Cranky, was that you? [Cranky continues snoring. Billy hears another ghostly noise and it is Salty's voice] Salty: I am the Ghost of Christmas Past. Billy: I, uh, I should go. I think Thomas needs my help at the shunting yard. [is about to leave] Salty: [cackles] You? Help Thomas? When was the last time you helped someone, Billy? Billy: Oh, uh, well-- Salty: Ha, ha, har. Let's go back and see, shall we? Ooooh! Ha ha ha har! [flashbacks of Billy's past mistakes play.] Salty: You weren't helpful that time you pushed Percy under the coal hopper, were you? And, you weren't helpful when you spilled milk on the Fat Controller, either, and you definitely were not helpful when you refused to move the flatbed yesterday. Poor old Salty. Poor old Salty! Billy: [races away, screaming, too frightened to hear anymore] Salty: So, how did poor old Salty do? Cranky: Spooky! Salty: Spooky indeed. [Billy stops at a bridge] Billy: Come on, Billy. You must have been hearing things. There's no such thing as… [hears another noise] Ghosts! OH, NO! Stanley: Whooo! Whooooo! Ha-ha! Whoooo! I am the Ghost of Christmas Present. Billy: No, you're not! T-there's n-no such thing as g-g-g-ghosts! Stanley: [to the audience] Then I must be good at pretending. [to Billy] You shouldn't be hiding, Billy. You should be out there, enjoying all the extra jobs that Christmas brings. Billy: Ha! Enjoying? Why would I enjoy doing extra work? Stanley: Because that's the way to make others happy, of course. Close your eyes, Billy, and think! [Billy does] Stanley: Think of the smiles on people's faces when they see the twinkling lights and sing Christmassy songs, and think of the laughter and fun as they open their presents! Oooh, and think of the shiny face of the Fat Controller as he eats his Christmas pud… Billy? Billy: [reversing down the line] Ghosts aren't real! Ghosts aren't real! Ghosts aren't real! AAAGGHHH! GHOSTS AREN'T REAL! Narrator: Billy was in such a hurry that he didn't see the damaged tracks where Stanley had come off the rails. [Billy derails and lands on his side] Billy: Help! Help! Help! [Thomas passes] Thomas, is that you have you come to help? Thomas: Sorry, Billy, but I'm far too busy. It's nearly morning, and I have lots of jobs to do. Today is the Earl's grand Christmas lunch. Billy: Thomas, wait! [Thomas is at Whiff's Waste Dump] Whiff: Are you sure about this, Thomas? Thomas: Yes. Pile it on, Whiff. [Whiff whistles, and Thomas gets covered in rubbish] [Whiff and Scruff laugh] Scruff: I can't tell it's you! Thomas: Perfect! That's the idea. [chuckles] [back at the site of Billy's accident] Billy: [sniffs] What's that-that smell?! Thomas: Oooooh! Billy: Help! Somebody, anybody!!! Thomas: I am the Ghost of Christmas Future! Billy: Oh, no!! This is the worst Christmas ever! Thomas: If you think this is the worst Christmas, let me tell you what your future Christmases will be like. If you don't start helping others, others will stop helping you. And you'll be left alone! Alone forever! Forever and ever! Billy: [in his future] Help! [in reality, as Thomas leaves] Help! I don't want to be left alone! Hope you like it!
