Thank you! I’m going to find an example in a showroom somewhere, but it’s encouraging so far. PS - I have learned that even the gas fireplaces have to use fans to blow the heat out into the room, so there’s no getting away from a cheesy fan sound. AND the gas fireplaces have a natural gas odor, which I think would also limit my enjoyment of the fireplace.
wow, are you serious? that TV height is ridicules. My neck hurts now just watching this video. Bring the fireplace down 18" and then set the TV 6-12" higher than the TV. what a joke.
Goodness. That was ridiculous! I have great, strong nails but had to use a screwdriver, thanks to the comments below. Even then, I'm not sure how I got it out. It just suddenly popped out and flew across the room. Still shaking my head. I am grateful for the instructions but also very relieved to know that I am not alone!
My fireplace will not change colors, only intensifies brightness, how do I change color of rocks and flames on this 50 inch fireplace? I bought a cheaper smaller different brand and it changes background and crystal colors.
With a small flat head screwdriver inserted into the tiny slot, move the screwdriver from left to right towards the center of the remote and the tray will come out. The 3V 2025 battery is commonly found anywhere batteries are sold, including auto parts stores as it is used in many automobile key fobs.
I have been doing this for ten minutes…nothing. It moved 1cm. I eventually took out a screw and almost dismantled the remote. Seriously? What do you guys think about when you design these? Better not let a thief get in here and steal the battery.

The Onyx fireplaces are wall hanging with a single bracket. Super easy installation explained in the manual. If you have further questions, please call us at 800-215-1990. We would be glad to help.
Is there a way to mount this to a brick fireplace? We want to install this into the existing opening on our brick fireplace. Or would I need to mount a wooden frame inside the firebox to secure this to?
So does the fireplace cut off at the preset temp that you set it on, and then just stay off? why wouldn't it kick back on when the temp in the room drops again?
The heat function turns off at the preset temperature and then back on when the room temperature drops. The fireplace is reading the temperature right at the front of the fireplace.
@@TouchstoneHomeProducts thanks for the quick response, I was reading somewhere about how it didn’t kick back on but honestly I think it was just haters trying to mislead people!

Did they completely buried the outlet behind the drywall? Or is there an access to the plug? What if there is a problem and the fireplace needs to be unplugged? I’m getting the 72” but I’m wondering how to go about this. Also this unit use up to 1500 watt. That is over the limit for a 15 amp circuit with other light fixtures and outlets on it.
If for some reason the outlet would need to be accessed, the easiest way would be to remove the fireplace. Also, a 20 amp circuit is recommended for this model.

AS this is a customer install, we do not have instructions for this project. You can find help for TV lift installs at www.touchstonehomeproducts.com/pages/tv-lift-support
No, though incredibly realistic, the light from an (LED) reflects off of a spinning light refractor made up of three-dimensional patterns. This reflection creates the illusion of flickering flames and the glow of fire within the fireplace.
Makes no sense. Why have it disconnect? It's a heater! My wifi furnace thermostat doesn't disconnect. Or my wifi baseboard heaters. Or my mini split heaters. I have several houses and all of them use wifi thermostats and non of them disconnect.
My gosh! My thumbnail broke! I had to use a flat head screwdriver. This was a chore to get out and I don't know it it will even go back in now since I had to basically pry it out. Bad design.
I’ll clarify this. You have to pinch from left to right with your thumbnail in the tiny slit all the way to the left of the big slot on top and then pull it out.
