A good question. Online means I’m available for work if you send me a profitable ride. I can sit at home all day and if I don’t get a profitable ride, I won’t leave the house. End result I don’t use resources, and I don’t lose opportunity cost of doing something that makes me $.
Def gotta multi app. I keep both on and once I get ride turn other one off after pickup just incase passenger cancels before. 3 mins before drop off I turn both apps on again. I wait max opportunity to decide
How can you be a Gold level driver when your acceptance rate must be way below 85%? (I’m still a beginner Blue driver with a 60% acceptance rate and can’t seem to advance.)
I wouldn’t even mess with the advantage standard crap. My strategy lately has been driving less with Uber and more Lyft just for the $150 bonus. Still keeping miles low. Demand good in vero beach?
Drive time usually around 2-4 during the week. Weekends, I’ll drive around 7-9 hours at most per day. I’ll drive as long as there is money in the streets.
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate that! During the week I’m cherry picking as always. I’m actually at home and if a ride/delivery that makes sense I’ll get the ping at home and then do it and come back home. At night time when there is no traffic is when I’d get out the house. Weekends bc demand is high is when I’ll stay out the house. I could be out the house 10 hours and drive 7-9 hours sometimes less depending on the quality of rides. Cherry pick cherry pick. Always
@@DriveLikeASniper ever since i downloaded lyft and started driving for them my uber got slow. Being active and driving outside for 8-9hours but only being active and paid for 4-5hours. And i do this fulltime 😭 would love to meet you in person sometime man and get some pointers/strategy. Drinks or lunch or whatever on me man.
I have stats like this on Lyft in my area lol. Ive found no matter how well you drive ot kee your car, people will still vote you down, sometimes just because they had a bad day at work or whatever and its out of your control. Ill be a 5 star driver for 3 weeks and suddenly im 4.9 because some random passenger voted me >3 stars for braking too hard or whatever. Lyft in my area s also way better at driver incentives like bonuses and streaks. It definitely depends on the area the driver is in, but ive driven for both uber and Lyft for several years and have made way, way more with lyft than with uber.
5:07 How many hours did you spend outside of your home, not making money otherwise, and how does that effect the hourly? Ride sniping is def. effective, depending on the area, but it really comes down to how you are doing it too. If you are sitting for 2 hours to get 1 good ride that kinda sucks. It is far better for less wear and tear, but that's about it.
@manuelrosario2107 The issue is that Uber has consistently lowered drivers rates over the last few years, and they prey on new drivers with shit cars. The consistent inflow of people just accepting all rides kills the profitability, and it becomes essentially a way to pull cash out of your vehicle. Operational cost for most UberX vehicles are around .30 cents a mile. That means most of the time you aren't really making money, once you factor in oil changes, tires, brakes, gas etc. You could say just go get another job, but some of us like doing courier work, or transportation. Remove Uber's corporate greed and up to 60% cuts of driver pay, and we will start taking every ride again... TL:DR Those 3 doller uberx rides are actually paid for by the driver, and that isn't even close to fair.
i had an uber driver pick me up at the airport during the rain and started speeding to my home. I told him to slow down but later on he sped up again. Second time i told him to slow down and after he, did the car in front of swerved to the right hit the side and flipped over. We stopped and it was a woman who was doing uber, probably speeding to a ride she picked up. I'll never forget her stare as i told her i called 911 and told her goodbye. I hope everyone gives you 1 star and because of your video every uber driver that speeds in the future i will give 1 star and complain. Oh and yes i did give a bad rating to my driver who was speeding. Hope everyone who reads this learns to give negative reviews to these uber and doordash drivers, don't be afraid, they should get a real job.
That’s why I would never do Uber, I speed and I don’t want no one telling me how to drive. For some people doing 50 in a 40 is speeding. I’m doing 55 minimum sorry.
Your driver I can most definitely guarantee gave you a 1 star, I would have. The minute anyone complains its 1 star and gtfo of my car. When your rating is low enough drivers won't pick you up. I mean, who do you think you are? You're taking the cheapest form of transportation and you're acting like the king of England! Hire your own driver if you're such a boss! That's what I thought uza brokie getting off on trying to bully someone. Keep going around trying to fuck up someone's job and watch them show up at your house. Oh, we know who gave us the 1 Star! You're just mad cuz you work a bullshit ass job, ya life is shitty and you feel important when someone picks ya funky ass up. Some people don't play that and you will fuck around and find out. LOL Keep thinking your shit doesn't stink.
This whole comment section is confusing. You said your driver was speeding, and people are defending the driver for speeding? He chose to drive people to and from places, yet breaks the law in the process and people think that's okay?
Im confused, some of those orders were decent if you did them in a strategic way. If im reading that breakdown correctly, you were online 45/46 hrs, active 2.5 hrs and made 100 dollars? If im correct yes you made about 40 dollars an hour for active time but you wasted A WHOLE work week. I don't think you're doing this very efficiently. If im not understanding something please let me know.
I see ur perspective but I wouldn’t say I wasted. I protected my opportunity cost because I was at home doing something that I wanted to do. So having app on is just saying I’m available for something that fits my threshold. I also have a remote job. So if I’m home and a $30 3 mile Uber eats order comes in I’ll do it and head back home. I’ve wasted no time and my resources are preserved. Goal is really to get 5-6 rides a day while I’m in comfort of my home. That’s my strategy.
@@DriveLikeASniper And that is how you do it. Layering. I was concerned you were sitting in a parking lot somewhere, but that is a perfect strategy. One I am employing is looking for good flappable items on marketplace at the end destination. Every once in awhile I can get a really good deal, then flip it myself later at home. I have a hybrid SUV so I got the storage space. I figure getting paid to go pick up an item I bid 30% on is a fun profit layering strategy.
@@zo3997 My last pick was 25 dollars for 2 designer end tables... A single one goes on Ebay for 400 +220 shipping. I have a set now... 2 hours of sanding and finishing and that could yield $1000 for the set, more if I can find a matching coffee table...
Folks this Saturday here in Arizona i met with one dude he was such a good guy he tipped me $10 and lyft paid me $6 imagine they tax Tips i didn’t even know that i decide to low down driving hours with these crazy companies better to find shifts
@@DriveLikeASniperfact sometimes long ride shows good money however you will drive long in freeways , 30 minutes in freeway= 50 minutes in residential or regular road i don’t take long trips
Currently running on 8%, These companies steel from both the driver and the rider , I also blame the drivers because they panic and get hungry that they will pick up trash rides
Hunger makes people make bad decisions. I like to think being prepared to change strategy when needed is where many drivers can get better. Nice job on the AR!
Best avail is ride share insurance w personal insurance. The thing is even if u get into an accident on the app, it’s really bullshit. They don’t want to pay for shit and will do everything and anything but pay u. I got him by driver in Jan while driving on app. They’ve yet to pay and I wasn’t at fault.
@@DriveLikeASniperin regards to converted clients , what are you using to keep track of revenue for tax purposes? Or are you keeping it under the table?
If it’s during the week, I’m mostly at home like right now. I drive mostly late night hours into early mornings. Weekends I’m in bar areas in Venice/santa Monica. You’ll normally find me watching movies or RU-vid videos on my Tesla when it’s slow. Close to beach & people watching. I like your content btw
@@DriveLikeASniper Idk man, if i can assure 20+ an hour i ain't gonna sit around. But thats just me. Especially if i know my area and I can get him there sooner. Cuz these apps be taking us some weirdo routes.
I understand your perspective bc that could be what your market offers. I’ve consistently made over $40 an hour so I refuse to do $20+ an hour. It’s like participating in your own wage cut, you are doing same work as before, you’ve gotten better at the craft, and according to ratings you are quite good at the job- here’s a pay cut for your hard work. And we are to say THANK YOU BOSS?
Economics right, what’s in it for me. In b school we learned a baker doesn’t sell bread to feed your family, they sell bread to make money to feed THEIR family. You just so happen to be able to also feed your family w their bread.
Yea the thing I find interesting is Uber treats newer drivers a little better with better offers (no statics I can base it off) both apps are similar in long run. I def recommend having both so u have options.
@@DriveLikeASniper the first two months were awesome. Easy grand a week working 30 hours. Next month less, then less, then less. Good thing the private clients are growing. I had to open my own company.
The ones you cherry picked were great but you had to waste an extreame amount of time, over 50 hours online for 540 some dollars you wait an hour for some great ride , and very soon there won't be any of them. They are sending you those crazy rides bc you are lowering their average rate of pay per hour that they have to publicly publish now
I appreciate the comment. I’d say I’m a lot better than I was. The thing for me is if I take a ride, it’s gotta be worth my time, energy, and resources. Majority of time I’m online I’m actually at home. I let app run bc there is no downside. If a great ride pops up, I take it. If not, I continue enjoying life
Honestly just a few habits. Stay consistent, take rides that are profitable and respect my time. Consistently around $50 per hour week in week out. Keep watching bc I try to show my mistakes along the way so we all get better.
