Change is good if implemented correctly, obviously it’s gaijin so they ruined their chance. Radar is broken, notching and chaffing is entirely chanced. How is this enjoyable for anyone.
They should make the Capture Points more worthy. I think the reason people love spawncamping is because getting kill is more profitable than capturing points. It will be better if every 10 second spent on the point will gives you 10 SL and 5 RP (On Conquest, they can make it 100 SL and 50 RP every 10 seconds). Sure it still lower than getting kills but its easier. Players will spend their time defending the points rather than spawn camping because it will be easier
Ay man it's alright, we all got to take brakes from things. Good to hear that you're getting your life into what you want it to be, wish I was doing that. War thunder is a game, which has so much potential, so far it seems like few devs want to use that potential.
There is ALWAYS going to be some asshole saying you can't hack a server or they are using the WASD hack. When you try to address this in the forums, it will ALWAYS be the same group of guys saying hacks don't exist and it is a skill issue or some other stupid shit. And I do mean ALWAYS the same guys.
yeah fuck every single person who has ever bought this aircraft. as a new player with 80ish hours im getting annihilated by the virgin airlines pilots with 100,000 matches played that p2w against people playing their second week in the game.
The War Thunder community had its chance to destroy Gaijin and their reputation instead they got stockholm syndrom. Everyone still playing is some kind of masochist. I really really wanna see Gaijins market value crash. Imagining Gaijun writing red numbers is one of the most beautiful thoughts one can have. Sadly no one playing this game has heard of unionizing or boycotts. I wish they would at least still spam for free parts.
One idea I have is this: Some AI tanks, soldiers, AT guns, or even mines that kill spawn campers if they get to close and the others to kill spawn campers out far. This is also simple to implement because it only combines preexisting mechanics like airfield AA and SPGs and AI tanks from heli PvE
You should think youtube shorts as just a bait for the long form video, you can draw out some audience out of there just dumping some clips from the longer video that spark interest.
This is what happens when Gaijin ignores military documentation of a jets capabilities because it puts what Russia made in the same time period to absolute fucking shame.
Haha do you want me to start send you replays for guys i've reported and they are still palying because they are wallet warriors, gaijin doesn't care simply because it's income for them, they just ban people that haven't spend any money or low amount of money.
I have been playing this game since 2013, I have over 2100 hours playtime split across the 5 major nations (US/Ger/Rus/UK/Japan) in both planes and tanks working my way up the tech trees and spading everything as I go and I still haven't made it to the end of WW2. I love this game, I do, but the grind absolutely kills it for me, even with premium time and premium vehicles it still feels like a F2P experience and if they don't change something soon there's going to be another player revolt. War Thunder has so much potential to be such an amazing game but all the devs can see is money. We're not mad, we're just disappointed.
I'm an old guard from 2012, however, I don't remember warthunder's UI being this so clunky back then. I like it when they used old photos to show the unit in the research tree. I played less than 500 matches from 2012 to 2024. I only started playing this game a lot recently.
I hate the fucking maps sooooooo much. And I can't even explain the hate I have for the devs . The progress system and the economy of the game. Was playing Rust before this game and hated myself switched to siege and hated myself more and switched to war thunder and hated myself even more. Why can't I find a good fucking game with good devs? Im going onto the 2 week minecraft phase from now on. Same as you brother. Take care.
I took a break a few months ago after getting the Buccaneer S.2B. I was really annoyed at constantly dying to things out of my control such as full uptiers, missiles not doing what they're supposed to and shells doing no damage.
I agree whole heartedly with this on many levels. I am actually really enjoying the new modern era jets but the older planes for the ww2 and Korean War era need something going for them. Like a new gamemode or something. Realistic battles where you are engaging in active ground support struggles and only a certain amount of people can take a certain class of plane - join in progress on and resources. My best guess is that they tried to capitalise on that fanbase with enlisted but that project seems to have flopped.
I am a far bigger fan of jet fighters than jet fighters and currently theres substantially more ww2 than jet fighters. Im sure once they get the main jets fleshed out they will go back to filling out the tech trees. Ace combat is nothing like war thunder either. The game of cat and mouse will always be what brings me back. Getting the superior positioning. Its harder at jets. Also i played prop fighters for years. Jets are also a nice new change. Jet fighting is more about knowledge and skill vs prop is knowing how to dog fight when the other person has litterally no clue. I play usa. Always got shit on grinding to jets. Now i avg 3-4k rp per arcade match with 4-12 kills. Just shitting on idiots that dont know how to use flaps leead shots. Idk im really blown away by how bad the players are at rank 1-4
Literally the first video I ever see of you and it's about you leaving, posted 3 weeks ago. Too bad for me... Been playing the game off and on (more off) since 2014. Wish you the very best mate, hope everything works out for you!
Late to the party, but I started playing WT about 4 months ago and have yet to see the negativity in actual games. The content I watch seems to overflow with negativity, but the average person like myself playing seems to just play the game and have fun. Maybe it's gotten better since this video has been posted, and maybe it's mostly top tier where the complaints are (I'm at 4.0), but I'm having a blast with the game, and it seems so are the players I get matched with
This game really falls off for me at around BR 8.0. The direction they took top tier without adjusting anything is crazy and I don't understand why it is that by this point everything is not Enduring Confrontation style game play. They also abandoned World War which was awesome or i thought. My Opinion is that if they do not change the way this game is played then they can add anything they want but the game will die. We live in a world where people are playing more "Sandbox" Style games with games like Team Deathmatch, PVP based games dying off and going away.
Greedjin is whats make that game downlfall hard and keeps going down. Im constantly bored playing it even if i take 3y of brake like the last time. Now im burned out just after 1 event not to mention doing it every time they bring new one. Im personaly rediscovered why i love single player game so much playing a bouch of it now. Good luck in your future journey.
I quit a month ago after 9 years of playing. too much money, too many obscure variants and copy-paste, and my biggest pet peeve, them putting vehicles in the game because they fill a role, instead of because they existed. that alone excludes so many from ever being implemented. also, they only put stuff in the game if it had similar variants so they can re-use model parts instead of making entire new ones. never going back.
I experienced this thing the other day. It was absolutely terrifying. It was a light like in your video with the same sounds but there was a ball of gas type entity that swallowed up my player and I came to consciousness with a cut and no disease possibly because my character was fully fed and hydrated and I eat vitamins regularly.
After i tasted a bit of Top tier, i was like "This is not worth my time anymore" and i still have other things to do in life i also limit myself to only has 3 hours time of gaming And in late 2023 they announced "War Thunder Edge" which is War Thunder on mobile Hey it's way better than i expected, the grind is not as hard as it on PC and it's ARCADE mode only, so there's nothing really serious, they changed the name into just "War Thunder mobile" I could actually enjoy my 3 hours time of gaming with War Thunder mobile, unlike the PC version where i suffered alot Yes the game has Premium vehicle, but hey it's not that bad compared to the PC version You should try War Thunder mobile, if you tired of War Thunder but still want that neuron activation of "Tank go vroom hehe"
I really do agree with you completely. For me it's Warthunder reaching what I presume to be Gaijin's logical conclusion for its design. The "missions" if you can call them that are effectively the same as they were when I started playing nearly a decade ago. The squeezing and grinding just gets worse and worse every year. The maps are so incredibly bland that it's a little absurd. In the same way that smokers sometimes catch themselves instinctively reaching their hand to their mouth to take a drag of a cigarette that isn't there, Warthunder players are just conditioned to keep hitting the "To Battle" button whether they're having fun or not. When I go play Ace Combat, yes, it's arcadey and it's modern and futuristic aircraft. But it has variety. There's real mission design, real unique maps that are both realistic and fun, real variety. There's so many things Gaijin could do to improve the game for every single era of plane, tank, chopper, jet, and boat. They don't have a reason to do it, though. They keep selling gold and selling packs and selling coins on the marketplace. In a whale-supported economy there's zero incentive to change unless the number of whales gets so low that it cuts into profit margins. Look at something like Star Citizen. Its been in development for 12 years and keeps chugging along with virtually no improvement because people are content to keep paying. It's sad.
