I think that Oscar’s fur coat let out a little growl there at the end 😂 Thank you for reviewing this particular bottle, and giving an honest opinion. Cheers and hope you have a fun weekend ! ❤
I loved this one. I find myself in so much agreement with your reviews that I must remember to watch you before I buy anything so I can save myself the bother and money 😂
I wish I'd seen this video before I bought it yesterday. Just did my tasting, with and without tonic, and I thought it was terrible 😅 I think the bitterness comes from the Sake base, which I don't mind, but I don't want it in my gin. Basically it tastes like a 70% proof alcohol base with artificial sweet flavourings in it, 2/10
@@theginfluencersuk5119 it’s not a bad taste it’s the dyes and artificial chemicals that are not good for you. They are banned here in Europe as they contain carcinogens. I didn’t know at first.
@@theginfluencersuk5119 nah mate - it's really good that I don't!! But saying that I still enjoy learning about different drinks and other people's experiences
This stuff is the celestial nectar of gins. I've tried well over 100 gins and this is cemented in the top three alongside Jardin d'Été and Dick & Stein, maybe it's even the best I've ever had, at least the one I had, not sure how much the flavors vary by year. If you know Monkey 47 imagine that but wrapped in smoothness and berry jam and caramel, and then you do the unthinkable and mix it with tonic and all of the sudden it tastes like the world's most sophisticated cola. If you told me this was the drink of Roman emperors or Greek gods I'd believe you.
Haven't had a lot of bourbons, but of the dozen or so I've had WR Double Oaked was definitely my favorite. Beautifully complex, dark, rich, oaky and red fruity with some caramel and coffee hints, also mixes really well with coke as well if you're so disrespectfully inclined. The regular Woodford Reserve is also super solid, less rich and dark and more sourdoughy with a bit of a stickiness and burn neat, but mixes just as well.
I was never the biggest fan of Whiskys, many years ago Bourbon was one of my tipples. I am gradually being reeducated in the great taste of Bourbons and Whiskys.
Some tips from a german waiter: Hold the glass even more horizontal then that, only turn it down the more beer you get in it. When there is around 1/8th of the beer left, slightly shake/stirr the bottle around and shoot it on top of your glass so you get a nice foam and the yeast mixes wirh your beer
The pear is the best pear gin on the market, you wont be sorry. The peach is nice but nothing special, and it definitely has sugar in it, unfortunately, which makes it very sweet. G,vine green is one of the best gins out there, definitely my top 10.
I was drinking this at the same time I as drinking Hayman's Exotic Citrus and the Hayman's smashed it out the ball park. I'd rate the Sipsmith Lemon Drizzle a 6 out of 10, sorry just nothing special imo.
