Probably not a good time for a swim in the marble baths, no 😅 I was once in the Drakensberg during a flood. Was pretty hectic. Could hear huge boulders getting smashed down the river at night from our accommodation a long way away. Happy hiking 🤙🏻🥾
I can`t tell you how much I miss hiking in SA, did it for many years and did some epic hikes...Magobeskloof, the infamous Otter Trail, the Alexandria Trail, Giants Castle...so many good hikes to do... In the UK now and have hiked the Lake District and the Peak District but they pale in comparrison...

Did this hike last April 2021, slept in the cave for a couple of days. We also had huge amounts of rain but no flooding. Marble baths is absolutely stunningly beautiful. Pitty your hikers could not experience that absolute undescribable beauty you see without the river flooding.
