Ha, Jon and I (All Miniatures Great and Small) just played this exact mission, with Shock T80 vs US Mech and dynamic points last weekend. First time I have played the mission (I was attacking as Soviets) and couldn’t believe how bad this mission is. It is so punishing to the attacker that you may as well just play hordes so you don’t care if you’re hit in front or back.
Great video … I know it’s a year later .. but turn one your bmp’s fire all 8 but isn’t it the rule you can’t shoot over your own armour ? So the back 4 bmps couldn’t have shot that turn ?
Nice battle rapport as always, great to see spires in action! One note: biotic renewal is only on the unit the Mancer is in, mend flesh can be cast on another however :)
Hi! I have a question, how did you measure the charge you did on the huscarls? for me it looks iffy since all you can do during charge move is pivot up to 90° and then move the regiment straight stoping on the enemy regiment which would land your wadrhun closer to the right flank of huscarls definnetly not to the left. I am still learning the rules so maybe i missed something ;)
Longbowmen shot at 24:15 should have had its Barrage halved, because it "Targets a Regiment with all of its Stands in a piece of Obscuring Zonal Terrain".
Hi! Page 86 of the rulebook covers obscuring terrain. If all stands are in the terrain, he can ignore the piece of terrain for when he shoots out. 1. Should a Regiment have all of its Stands within this piece of Zonal Terrain, then its Stands suffer no penalty to their Barrage (X) Special Rule as a result of drawing Line of Sight through the same piece of Zonal Terrain the entire Regiment is in.
@@BlitzMinis I'm talking about incoming fire from the slingers, at 9:30. You must have taken Animalistic Hunt on the Predator? I don't recall it being mentioned. It might be helpful to include army list links in the video description. BTW at 20:00 When the crossbowmen fire at the Raptors, they should've been obscured as well because the volley "Targets a Regiment with all of its Stands in a piece of Obscuring Zonal Terrain", page 86. On the topic of slingers, they've been nerfed already, torrential fire is 1 extra hit for every two hits. Do you think it needs even more nerfs?

@@AnythingButOnes good catch, they shouldn't have. If they had move charged they would have gotten impacts, but no clash. Half the regiment was in the forest.
Looks like you goofed up charging a little bit. You're supposed to engage as many of the targets stands with each of your front rank stands At 16:00 you charge the raptor riders off center to avoid some shooting, the right side raptor only engaged one stand where it could have engaged 2 52:10, similar deal, you charged off center to avoid some crossbow shooting in the flank, but didn't maximize engagement.
@@BlitzMinis they changed it in the may update as that was their intent . "Engages as many of the Charging Regiment’s front-Rank Stands with as many of the Target Regiment’s Stands as possible" on page 32
