The Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) was formed when the Boards of Central Yavapai Fire District and Chino Valley Fire District came together to create the first Fire Authority in the State of Arizona.
CAFMA staffs 10 full-time, two reserve stations, and a 40-hour engine covering 369 square miles of Yavapai County, Arizona. Our coverage area encompasses approximately 106,000 residents between the communities of Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, Dewey-Humboldt, and unincorporated Yavapai County.
Our full-time stations are staffed 24/7/365 with a minimum crew of three. We also staff an additional engine during the daytime hours of 0700-1700 Monday-Thursday during our busiest times to assist with coverage and call volume. At least one crew member on every engine company is a Certified Emergency Paramedic, and many crews have two or three. Our engines are equipped for all-hazards responses including the latest technology in Advanced Life Support equipment.
Hi! Firefighter M'Kadmi can be seen in the end photo; she joins several female firefighters that serve our community proudly. We invite everyone to our website to learn more about our agency, and to fill out our 'Employment Interest Form'! www.cazfire.gov/join-us/
We did a police explorers summer boot camp once and after 4 weeks of physical training, classes on law and criminal justice our Drill Instructor came to us and said "Now it's your last day of camp so do you want to go run the obstacle course or do you want go over there and have cake and ice cream?!" He was pointing a little picnic lunch and tables they had srtup for us. Everyone in our group thought it was a trick! 😂
Our great apologies for the missing photo! May it not reflect the fantastic job that Chief Merrill, Engineer Smith, and Firefighter Siebe did on this episode 🙏
Holy smokes.... we went to school together... i use to ride with Finley and justin back in the day... Crazy but cool to see you... awesome job you got there man... stay safe out there..!!!
Thank you for keeping us safe. I live in Prescott and a few years ago we had the Crooks fire. It burned super close to my house and it was so scary. We love our first responders! Thank you for all you do! ❤
You are all appreciated. A couple of days after the fire a person kept posting comments on NEWSBREAK...claiming they took a photo of the wrong guy...that he was his "homie".......and innocent 😏🙄...possibly the comments are still there. Be safe out there.
Great job showing the public about fire fighting. So many don't have any exposure and your videos will help. Education is just as important as the action❤
I feel like that mustache is a fire hazard eta: this is a joke but I see people saying this unironically so I have to clarify, I'm trying to compliment you 😂
