I didn't have the exact model but got the same idea. I knocked Mines out and woah....what a difference. Thank you for the video. Help me and my family out a ton.

Works for my new Arvo shower head too. I didn’t have to take out the wand restrictor. Thanks bud.

So, you all know why I'm here. This past weekend my wife purchased a new shower head. Heretics vid is the closest I could find to what we got. Obviously Delta upgraded/changed their product line slightly. Ours is the new and improve Delta HydroRain 2in1, model 75699. Installed Saturday 22Jun24 easy enough. First shower, abysmal pressure, wife hates. Todays shower, the sprinkler system was on, pressure even worse. No prob, I say. So after work a few searches brought me here. Very similar design, but the swivel portion is now held in place by some type of plastic thick washer loosened/tightened by some type type of spanner wrench with pins precisely aligned to corresponding holes in the washer looking thing. Removal was not an option. Hat Tip to @kathyabrahamson948, yes, the main blue is indeed all that needs to be removed (looks same as in the vid, just more difficult). But how? Hmm. So to the shop I took it. Using a few picks, needle nose pliers, and screw drivers, I managed to remove the O-ring and pop the center into the swivel where it could not be removed. Blast those Delta designers! Hmm again for a moment to ponder. Grabbing a slender hunting knife (butcher knives safe in the kitchen, but could work, as would a 1/4 " sharp chisel) I began carefully cutting down the offending ring that was likely pressed in. Once cut through on one side, my little pick was able to remove the ring and the rest of the mess fell out when I turned it over and gave it a couple of shakes. Success! It now blasts, including the handheld, without having to mess with the handheld. Even with both on, and the handheld locked in its holder it blasts. Wife will be pleasantly surprised tomorrow morning. You could wash an elephant with this now (if you could fit one in your shower). Thank you Heretic for the vid. Close enough to my model I was able to improvise to its differences fairly easily, and I too have serious water pressure in the shower. Yes, disclaimer; check local codes, do not try at home (go to your buddy's house instead). Hey, I'm paying for the water. I want a nice shower (and a happy wife). Cheers all!

Installed a cold only extra head and thus stupid thing made it not even let water out with only one water like incoming.

Thank you for the great video! I would have taken the screen out thinking that was the problem. I never would have thought to take the blue thing out. I take 3 min showers so I need the water pressure! So thank you!

See that tiny black rubber ring? Stick a needle in it and gently pry it out. That's it. Done in seconds.

I was shocked that this worked for us! So easy to do. After reading comments, we only took the shower head blue one off, did not mess with the detachable wand.

+1 Great vid. This pretty much doubled my water volume if not a bit more than double. Took me maybe 10 minutes or so to do, and that was mostly just getting the head off the pipe. Thank you!

The blue one is the one that matters! The white ones in the handheld wand are more like valves to keep the water going the right direction. I tried removing just one of those and it made no difference in the water pressure/flow. The blue one is the baby you want. Thank you!

Followed this. Took me literally two minutes. The water pressure now is unreal! If there are any in the wand I can't imagine. The wand now has so much pressure it actually pushes the wand back away. My pressure now is amazing with only the primary blue restrictor removed. Thank you!

Totally worked!! Who doesn't like taking a good shower? Knocked out that little piece(it was a little hard to do cuz it's pressed in but it's just plastic) after it came out I'm probably getting more towards 3 gpm!! Not too bad seeing that "actual" high flow heads can be upwards of $150 $54 at Lowes Thanks again RU-vid.

since then, they've added an additional tab to potentially block the screwdriver from going in the hole. A thin enough screwdriver will still fit, though.

I recently (Sep 2023) purchased this Delta IN2ITION shower head. There was one blue restrictor in the base at the connection to the shower elbow. Easy to remove with a small pair of needle-nose pliers - no disassembly needed. I checked the end of the hand wand, but there was no restrictor there. Full [shower] speed ahead!

This is my 2nd IN2ITION shower head. I had to figure all this out on my own on my first one. This time, my attempt resulted in only breaking out the center of the flow restrictor, but I expect it will have the same result as removing the whole part. I didn't find a restrictor in the wand at all, this time. I'll wait to see if the flow is poor, then go looking for it.

This worked great! I watched other videos that said to just pull the restrictor out with pliers. That would never work. You need a lot of force applied in the right way to get the job done. I have this exact model and you don't need to remove the pink doohickie the spray handle. Just the blue one and you'll have plenty of water.

You do pay for your water, but I wouldn't expect them to reduce your rent because you used less water.

The one I got was plastic, so I couldnt dis-assemble the joint to pop the restrictor out. Returning it and just going to keep using my old one which doesn't have the restrictor. How can they rate the gpm at 7.5 with the restrictor?
@ruffxm
@ruffxm Год назад
It's rated at 1.75 GPM out of the box.

This model is plastic, as is my similar one. you can unscrew the ball pivot section from the large head to remove the restrictor. I even did it by hand to avoid defacing the plastic body. sounds like you're not very handy.

I put the filter back in precisely where it was. I wanted to make sure no chunks of anything found their way inside the shower head and messed it up. Pressure is insane even with the the filter installed.
@drmoze
@drmoze 7 месяцев назад
yes. it's needed for both the screen filter and to seal the head against the pipe. otherwise you'll have a lot of leakage!

Thank you!!!! This did work like a charm! To remove the restrictor in the wand I used a very small flat head screw driver (for eyeglasses) and once it was wedged between rubber gasket and side, turned/rotated the restrictor a bit with the screw driver and it popped out. Looking forward to my shower in the morning!

Quick question for anyone. I have the In2ition shower head. I removed the little blue flow restriction piece but I probably took more apart than I needed to. I unscrewed the 'swivel ball' assembly to get that little piece of plastic to pop out. Then when I went to reassemble it I found it took a lot of time/trouble to get the rubber grommet around the ball and the little white plastic washer part to all reseat. I got it back together and doesn't seem to leak & flow is great. But I'm wondering if I got the assembly order of the plastic washer and the rubber grommet wrong. These 2 parts fit around the base of the swivel ball part which is then held onto the the main shower head body with a ring that threads on etc... Does anybody have a diagram or just know which order is correct? Is it swivel ball, washer, grommet, and then the screw-on ring that holds it all together. Or is it the swivel ball, rubber grommet, plastic washer, and then screw-on holding ring?

Thanks for the how to. I realized it was that little black O ring that was doing most of the restrictions. I used a hook tool (PC tool kit) to pull it out. Doubled the water flow! Then I realized, this is my 11 yr old girl's new shower. So, for now I'll put it back and see if she complains🤫
