I agree, you don't need metal to create voltage. I created an axial flux motor and axial flux generator with plastic and magnets. Powered by solar or 12v battery and get 200V out. I have an issue with breaking so it's interesting how to overcome that issue.

Heat and light are result of shaking(vibration). What comes out of coil is very high frequency. Thus resulting in extra heat and luminosity. Conventional Motors however can't handle such high frequency as they need workable frequency range for which they are built to work, hence no effect on motor
