Kessel Run Collecting is primarily focused on Star Wars action figure collecting, diorama building, and figure customizations but we delve into other lines as well.
You are very correct, there should be more of these, and they should be Bandai kits, because those are great, and the models of the bots in the game are absolutely fantastic.
You'd think Destro would have better things to do with his spare time than trolling people with defective model kits. He has all those weapons to supply to Cobra after all.
I am late to the party as far as learning about this goes, but I hope someone will indulge my curiosity and answer my questions. 1) Do the backers get their money back, or is this all a gamble? 2) Did the MARS industry people likely have to pay IP rights to whomever holds the rights to Airwolf? 3) The stretch goal of so many vehicles (Airwolf, Redwolf, Santini’s helicopter, a jet, and an attack helicopter) seems wilder than anything ever offered by Hasbro or Mattel….did this set off alarms in anyone’s minds?

1. Sadly not 2. They 'should' have had to but probably didn't 3. Maybe, but it's human nature that when people think they're being offered the opportunity to purchase something that they really want, rational thinking tends to go out of the window
@@FatHead1979 Thank you so much for the replies. Do you think Airwolf has enough demand that someone else will look at this as a proof of concept, and improve on it with a better design?
@@dereklarner6298 Unfortunately I'm not close enough to 'the scene' to make a sensible call on that question. It would be nice to think so but I wouldn't hold your breath.
@@FatHead1979 I’m still just fascinated by the entire episode; it started out looking really slick, and some big name toy RU-vidrs got behind it. The mock up looked cool, the figures clunky but appropriate for the era it was meant to evoke, and then….everything went south. Assuming that the MARS people started out with good intentions, I wonder what went wrong.
Just admit you were scammed by a dishonest person. The sooner you come to the reality of this outright theft, the more likely people will take you seriously.
you can buy fibreglass Airwolf Fuselage for RC helicopters for about the same money. and if you have a 3D printer, you can get free 3d Models which are more accurate and more detailed.
You said you're a professional model maker...Whyyy..didn't you just get a 3D file online and print yourself??? I also would like to know whyyy you didn't sand the th model before painting?? I'm an "amature" and my stuff is always sanded smooth. Something is very off here. I'm no French fan, but I also hate bs. I think everyone should be forced into one video chat and have at it.
Here in the future may 12th 24..... and yes sir you were correct...mars industries is a scammer! I cant believe what im hearing that he will not give people refunds... thats flat out robbery and fraud
This is the message they sent out to everyone today. Total scammer Posted by Mars Industries May 10, 2024 View on Kickstarter Mars Industries is insolvent as of today and is closing its doors forever. For my part in failure, I am deeply regretful and apologize to everyone involved. I’m closing it all down and will not answer nor respond to anything related to Airwolf any longer. Comment how you will, blast my inbox, throw me to the wolves on every social media platform…. It’s already ALL long been done before and I care not. I’ve sacrificed my family, health and sanity over this project and I’m done. Thank you and best wishes to all. I’m sorry.
Conrad stole my money over a year ago, when he agreed to cancel my kit and then blocked me when I followed up about the refund. He said I was "Taking time away from paying customers." Uh, unless I got a refund (and I never did), I WAS a paying customer. The man is clearly an incompetent fool who has no business running a business or interacting with customers. He'll go down in history with the likes of Fans Strikes Back.
Ty so much for this video! I just bought this and plan on putting it together on my next day off but it’s my first time building something like this! Your vid helped me feel way less anxious abt it lol
I have a modified Tie Interceptor, made Red with additional weapons. Like an Emperor’s Private Guard I have it displayed in my home office & it’s quite the conversion piece 🥃🔥 I have it on stand Note 📝: The Best tie to me was the one sold for the Solo Film 🎞️, that was a design I wish they had back in the 70’s & 80’s 7:05, I really feel that best respected the TIE FIGHTER Mine was Fine
ah yes. Didn't think about that. There are two Gonk droid molds with one slightly smaller. However there IS a "correct" size for astromechs and MSE droids. Gonks were different shapes and sizes. So it would be more difficult to tell what is correct scale for figures.
Interestingly the early Kenner design is canonical. The Kenner die cast TIE fighters are the same design but shrunk down. What is the battery section on the larger model is a pull out section including the pilot chair for the die cast version. When they were filming Return of the Jedi ILM needed a lot of TIEs for the background of the arrival of the Emperor. If you look closely you can clearly see the more squat wings and the different back on some of the TIEs flying behind the hanger window. Rather than building all those ships for one scene they used the toys. So those early toys are screen accurate.... From a certain point of view.
@@whoopdiddydo CONrad announced on Kickstarter today that he was closing Mars Industries due to insolvency. It makes him bragging about his "modeling and manufacturing expertise" even more hilarious.
I am only know realizing that with the way the armor is plated (for you to strip off in combat), the machines form Horizon are remarkably similar to Zoids.
There's many many similarities between the two. The Stormbird looks extremely extremely similar to a Storm Sworder. But to be fair, there's only so many ways you can make a robot bird look. I, for one, am happy about this. We finally have a pretty decent Zoids game. Even though it's not really a Zoids game :P
@@thundercat_pumyra And let's not forget that Guerilla Games isn't above being 'inspired' by other franchises *cough cough* Kill Zone ripping off the armor from Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade *cough cough*
Many people say the Airwolf files weren’t his and he bought them off a commercial site. I don’t know if that’s true or not but what is indisputably true is that he is incompetent and a total laughingstock. Prior to the Kickstarter, he was on a week-known GI Joe forum bragging about his “manufacturing experience” and being very condescending towards members. When those initial review videos were posted, he ran off and hid like the coward he is.
I suspect it was another one of those cases where Hasbro lost the licence in terms of the name Afterburner, because that certainly looks like him! Great that Marissa's getting more toy love though; an old favourite character of mine from the series and this was way before I knew who her parents were!
Thanks for the final chapter. You did great, all things considered. I think you and I are the only ones to complete kits from the handful that appear to have been actually delivered. I’m still checking my mail everyday anxiously for a replacement from MARS to “make it right…”
If I paid for for something like this and it arrived in such poor condition, I wouldn't even bother attempting to assemble it. I would toss it in the trash and never make another purchase from the seller. It's absurdly horrible.
As soon as I saw that Retroblasting had this dude on, I cancelled my order. Just a gut/knee jerk reaction. Today for some reason I thought, maybe I was too hasty, I mean, yea Michaels a total ass but maybe not the kickstarter guy. Nope, gut feeling was right.
