On a new build house, how can I tell if I need to paint the house? I ask this because I found out recently that my current house which was new in 2017 when it was built was only painted with primer and it needed to be properly painted. Thank you for your video.
you are touching finished walls and touching the floors + the lines look swirley and crooked... why you should do all this first is caus you can clean your wood fast and easy when you drip wall paint on them from roller or brush. doing it this way is gonna leave so much shit you need to touch up and or scrape and clean off.. just tape the floor at least!! the corners do not look right! just use tape if you are bad at cutting. it takes real talent and exp to cut in without taping and doing baseboards last is like a stupid prefference. do this first and you never have to touch up ever again. imo the best way is paint all the wood trims first allways! then to be realy pro you tape the wood, caulk it with painters caulk and THEN do the walls remove tape and you have a proffesional finish. but this? nah this is the oposite of proffesional man. its litteraly worse then a DIYer.... like at least be honest in your title of the video. this is not how a proffesional person who wants pro results does it EVER!! its a general pro rule to do trim first and then walls. and if you are redoing trim on finished floors and walls you tape and caulk it. not free hand cut it thats the worst thing you can ever do is to freehand cut everything. this is a 100+ year old method and today is only done by SUPER talented people with amazing materials and exp. this? nah. just NO! dont have tape? use a putty knife and your brush at the same time to cut corners and finished flaces. clean your putty knife very often and you will make cutting 50% faster and 150% better finished product. you dont know or wanna use a putty knife and brush? you can buy a special corner and lining tool with a tiny roller or pad and you use that to create a somewhat clean finished product. again i tell you a REAL pro does NOT freehand cut everything and curtainly dont paint wood trims last. its like doing floors and painting ceilings you do this shit first and NEVER last for a variety of good reasons a PRO does these things. wanna know all the reasons i can explain np just reply the question.
Do you mean right after cutting in the last coat because the paint I use dries very fast so by the time I start the second wall the fist wall would already be dry.
Buddy you’re just flat out full of shit. What you’re doing is wrong and forcing anyone who enrolls in your program to only be certified at your company. Anyone who wants a good painting education, just look into the union and begin an apprenticeship and become a journeyman in 4 years making damn good money with damn good benefits. I suppose the solution is to buy a small bottle of the paint and put a dab on to see what color you really come up with or to HIRE A COLOR SPECIALIST.
THANK YOU!!! The information you gave helped my project have REALLY clear crisp lines and none of the paint peeled off when removing the tape. Pulled it off slowly and away from the paint. We are VERY HAPPY with the results!
