The first time I saw Engine Kid I had no idea what I was watching. I asked another kid what band this was and he said "Mother Load" .... I knew Scotty Kellogg, so I had to go find him and ask what this band's name actually was. There was only PA music, but It was loud. He said something about John Denver snorting crank and diazepam. ... Then he pointed at the merch table where I bought Angel Wings even though I didn't own a record player.... Fast forward to 2012 where I'm blowing the minds of Doom and Stoner Rock fans by playing them Heater Sweats Nails...... #GoodTimes
Hey Rick, I've had a VHS copy since around 1988. I don't remember how I ended up with it- maybe from Jim McBrier. I recently had the tape repaired enough to transfer to digital files. the tape I have has Chrimpshrine, Thinking Fellers, as well as the band clips on my fb post.
Hey Jade - That's video I shot at There that summer. Who did you get it from? I don't remember dubbing it for anyone! ; ) I assume you have that whole show, but I also have the Crimpshrine and Government Issue shows and a bunch of video I shot around the place before one of the shows. Still on Video, but I may need to bump it over now that you've reminded me of it. - Rick (Cheese Weenies from Hell)
I got a copy from Jim McBrier back in the day but the tape has been damaged and not functioning for decades, all I could get converted. Man would be great to see the G.I. footage. Best! Jade
