Copper pouring and dog loving! On this channel I

Aim to show how to break down scrap,

Non-ferrous metals and melt them into

Ingots and other cool oddities.

Update in 2024 I also have dipped my toes into blacksmithing! I believe that will be the direction this channel goes from now on!
Scrap bucket meltdown part 2!!

Thats the worst base Ive seen. Your maybe transferring a 1/3 of the force of your hammer blows. And thats if your lucky. I get it, its mobile to bring in out of weather. But thats a no go my man.

@@mikebolton3816 yeah I know.. I didn’t think it was that bad tho, what would you suggest? Wood?
@mikebolton3816
@mikebolton3816 2 дня назад
@@BEMetalMelting I suggest using a hardwood stump base. And, do everything you can to compact the spot you use it on, however, do not, I repeat, do not place your stump on concrete pavers. I swear you can feel it in your elbow. You want more of a dead blow effect, more than a bounce effect, to get the most out of your hammer blows. I move mine with a 2 wheel hand truck, that I extended the base and added gussets, because mines so heavy, I broke a stock 2 wheeler. Of course everyone is different, but, this is my advice. Best of luck, and... If you like the movie "finding Nemo"... I will be working, and start singing in my head... Just keep swinging, swinging swinging just keep swinging...🤪😉

@@mikebolton3816 hahahahah that’s good just keep swinging swinging.. I have been on the lookout for a big stump whenever I run around but I haven’t been able to find anything big enough I have my old railroad track anvil on a stump but it’s only like a foot tall, i have been thinking of what I could put it on to raise it up!
