Das Label wurde mit dem MTV Europe Music Award, dem World Music Award, zweimal in Folge mit dem Deutschen Dance Award ausgezeichnet und erhielt mehrere Gold und Platin Auszeichnungen. Neben der reinen Labelarbeit agiert Superstar als Verlag, Management und Agentur.
Gegründet wurde Superstar Recordings 1998 und hat seinen Sitz in Berlin.
