Nice Prelude! Great video idea of a drone and being back in 2015 would have been fairly expensive. I have owned a prelude since 1997 (23 years) but driving it on and off. I fell in love with the 3rd Gen 88-91 and have purchased several of them over the years. To date I have owned 6 in total and actually still own 5 of them (varying options) having somewhat a car collection along with my father. I only lost 1 Prelude which was actually my very 1st car (also very first Honda), it was rear ended (not my fault) but was in the process of selling it as at that time I had just purchased my 2nd and could not hold on to 2. Hope you keep yours for years to come.
I have never owned or driven a 3rd Gen. I rather like the design of the Mk2. Here is another video I have reuploaded of another one i owned which sadly I had to scrap in the end...but my 'new' one is the same year and colour! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fzQQ-GVj5uQ.html
No other area matches the uniqueness of my beloved home, l was homesick immediately after moving away, but l have many photos, although that isn't the same as living there.
Yes, agreed. We only live once though, so good to get other experiences....having said that i wouldn't mind the place on Richmond Hill where I shot this from. Next door to what was Mick Jaggers house. Cest la vie!
Yes, I have two! Under pressure to sell them but there is no better car in my humble opinion. Sleek design, fast, economical mpg, low insurance....j'adore
Yes I still have the Prelude. I also have another! One is in the garage, the other in a barn! Both are excellent. This one is white, the other silver/blue colour.
If you like this view, a trip to the North Yorkshire Moors is needed, along with the Dales and the Lake District. I have Roseberry Topping as my backdrop when sat in the garden. Who needs European holidays when we have this on our doorstep?!
I sold 500 prints of the Hill some years back, in an Art Gallery. The owner was reluctant at first to accept them, saying in his opinion, photography is not an art form. he did though and never looked back! Unfortunately the inimitable Richard Meacock has passed on, together with his gallery. There is another gallery that sells mostly pretentious rubbish, disguised as art with enormous figures. Largely the banking fraternity of the area who cannot tell a Picasso from a splash of colour on a large canvas with a large price tag. Rant over!
I had forgotten I had ever shot this until I discovered the footage. I remember how impressed my learned grandad was with what Graham Turner said to me...though cannot recall what it was! He went on to manage at the top level But surprisingly sacked by Shrewsbury a month ago. He has seen this footage and most players now passed on.
Very enjoyable! I thought Roy Cheetham was about to shout at you! Good stuff though! Great cars and haircuts. Was that Merry Xmas Mr Lawrence on the soundtrack? Strangely it worked!
In Pete's new book "Who I Am" Pete talks about fans knocking on his door and if he's not busy he chats with them outside. I will be in London at the end of August and guess what I'll be doing? I missed his book signing here in New York so I'll be knocking with my book in hand and a pen and I will ask him to sign it for me. Hopefully he's home. And hopefully he doesn't tell me to Fuck off!!
You will need millions to live in a house on the actual Hill, sadly. We lived at number 24 [at the bottom] My family still live in Richmond, but it is ludicrously overpriced. Yes, the views are good, from the Hill, and from King Henry VIII's mound, but Gloucestershire is prettier, and much cheaper. Was born and bred in Richmond, so it is my ''true'' home, though...riding in the park was great. not so much of that nowadays, as stables closed.
Yerp, and now it's more like 'City, Histons feeder club, City, Histons feeder club, City, Histons feeder club, City, Histons feeder club'. To the tune of, 'Go west' from the 'petshop boys'. Sad innit (: Buahahahaha
yes so true....and agree with you re the kit. I remeber buying my younger brother the kit and have film of him running about in it. If it weren't for this film i 'rediscovered' i wouldn't have remembered a lot of it...great how film jogs the memory.
Used to be a great atmosphere at Sealand road. I liked that sky blue and red kit as well. Those were the days my friend we thought they never end we'd sing and chant for ever and a day We'd lift the SEALAND END We'd drive you ROUND THE BEND Those were the days Oh yes those were the days
What is there to respond to? 40% of yous support Liverpool! 30% support Everton! 20% support Man united! Only 10% of you support Chester. Even then, 5% are armchair supporters. 100% of you support England despite being Welsh! Hardly warrants a place on you tube.....
I Think Chester fans are forgetting ONE thing. On paper they are britains most UNSUCSESSFUL club. And that is an embarrasing accolade. Its a pity they did not just dissapear when Sealand road got knocked down. Would have saved all em taffs turned toffs lots of heart ache
Sealand Road had a cracking atmosphere, even with 3-4,000 in it! Will never forget those nights in 1974-75 against Leeds, Newcastle and Villa with 19,000 in the old place - ah, those were the days.
I dont live in Chester and dont know exactly though i think its JJB Sports. However the best game i ever saw Chester play was when they beat Port Vale in the Debenhams Cup final in 76. (or 77)I watched the first leg at your place as well. i was at College in Chester then so could enjoy going to all the games. Thanks for the comment
Hi, Am pleased that you liked it. I had forgotten i had shot it all those years back until i stumbled across it. Agree totally about The Deva-lacks charcter and atmosphere. Aptly described as a 'legoland' stadium. A large anfd high extension to the home end could transform that at a stoke but takes financial input...like Orient have done...even Woking...
Great stuff though a bit old for me (was only 2 in 1971), I remember the 80's well, always loved sealand road, was absolutely gutted when we moved, never wanted to move, and have never warmed to the new ground. I've been looking hard for footage from sealand road but the major TV companies won't release any archive footage due to 'hugely complicated copyright issues' have tried the supporters website aswell to no avail, would love to get a compilation of footage on dvd, any ideas anyone?
you were ready to watch it but then you fell asleep? That curry would have got cold and the beer would have gone flat! why didnt you just watch it when you woke back up?
It was really atmosheric and a great experience...Deva is pathetic by comparison and not much to offer younger fans and not much of a draw for new recruits..however has possibilities as ther is scope for development
Thanks for that..are you in Denmark? I only have more recent footage quipment but some entertaining stuff...when time and my equipment repaired will do so!
I appreciate your comments here-shame there aren't a few more from Chester fans, though some have left comments on the fans forum. In our playoff from Conference days I was filming quite a bit and wanted the club to give me access to players etc, but MWright said it would take their minds away from their target of promotion. Perhaps short sighted of him. Top Premiership players are intereviewed etc and filmed all the time. We lost anyway! I take no glee in seeing you relegated. Good luck.
Even as a Wrexham fan, I can appreciate this fantastic piece of history (and Part One as well). It's rare to see moving pictures of lower division teams from that era. Thanks for posting.
Hi Stan I was about 15 and they were the heroes of my youth too. However many times i watch it continues to conjure up a lump in my throat. Thanks for looking and commenting
