Nice! I'm installed retracts same aircraft. How did you mount the nose retract? Did you extend the motor mount box? Would love to see a photo of what you did!
Hi there. Long shot you'll answer as this was from 6 freaking years ago xD. But I'm thinking of using this setup on my Durafly P-40N. Are the retracts you're using actually eflg320?
It's my favorite plane and still flying it every weekend. I won't be able to sell you the one in the video. However I have brand new one in the box if you are interested. I paid $270 2 years ago. If you are interested I would like to break even (plus $30 shipping)
Do you have the Hobby King part number for those retracts ? Horizon Hobby discontinues their products too quickly ! I emailed Product support two weeks ago to ask if Hangar 9 is going to develop any more .60 size warbirds and I was told that Foam Technology has improved over the years to a degree that large scale airplanes can now be done in foam, instead of Balsa, which costs them more money. They also said that Hangar 9 will not be producing any new balsa airplanes before Christmas. I also noticed that E-flight has gone to all foam now, no more new Balsa ARFs. That's sad. I will keep you posted on the Corsair ! :>)
I remember by removing 2 grub screws on that 2 collar you should be able to remove the 4mm wire. If you want to replace with new wire struct there will be some sanding involved to put it in.
and if you are thinking to put this robart strut you need to turn the spring inside about 270 degree so it has the strength to "rotate" the whole set up.
Thanks, I've got some Hobbyking oleos which take a 5mm pin and will use a bit of brass tube as a spacer for the 4mm wire to go in. I need to take the whole 4mm strut out of the retract as there isn't enough length before the coil to go into my oleo if I just cut it down. When I take the 2 grub screws out neither the wire or the collars move at all, even when applying some force. Strange, I'll keep trying. Thanks for the tip on tightening the spring to cope with the heavier legs too, very useful.
You may want to pull the wire to the direction of the wheel. I remember clearly the 4mm wire in there are actually not the same diameter all the way. It's actually smaller than 4mm on one end. If you are trying to pull the wire in the wrong side it may not come out. When I replaced with longer 4mm wire (same reason as yours) I actually need to sand it down before I can push the wire all the way in to the position.
Yes thanks, the wire would only slide out of the trunnion in the direction of the wheel anyway, because of the loop/coil, unless I cut it off. Interesting to know the gauge of wire isn't consistent through the strut though. These jobs always turn out more awkward than I imagine haha. Thanks for your help.
Hi. very good video. would like to know if that is the original pneumatic Robart landing gear converted to electric or it's an especially one that you already get mechanical. thanks.
+Nico Frid Yes it is the original air landing gear. You use only the landing gear part and replace the air tank, air line and linkage with electric retracts servo. Are you building one? Feel free to ask if you have any question.
Thanks Calvin. I'm about to start building the kit. I have now decided how to implement the landing gear. an another question. which engine you are going to use? Thanks again nicolas
Nico Frid Hi Fred I finished mine already back to 2013. Here are some of the pictures of mine www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2563974#post33482629 Where do you plan to mount the retract servo? I mounted next to the flaps servo but found out other people mounted it between to Wing ribs (which I think it's better than mine)
A big thank you to those who got up and just DANCED !! yes, that is the spirit of NIA ! ~~ finding pleasure and joy in your movements ! 謝謝 大家 放下矜持,盡情忘我的 活動筋骨。。~~從 律動中, 我們找到了 生命的 活力和健康 !
This is a scratch made from the ground up from an old gentleman in our club. I will forward your information to him and see what he can help.

Calvin Hsieh It would be so great! I have all plans to build a 2 meters DO28 but I was asking myself on which power chain should I use... Thank you by advance!
Not enough throw to lock the gear in the down position , great idea though , makes me want to finish mine , never did care for the pneumatic deployment .
Here is the video after the throw adjustment with longer servo arm ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q5GKgvPXbYs.html I have to say this gentleman outsmart me with a better location for the retracts servo. If you want to do this electric conversion please look at his design. He figures a place between ribs for the retracts servo which I think it's better than mine. Take a look ! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8fNq3anq2LI.html
