We lived in the suburbs of a large city for years. Had a house, lived in a nice neighborhood, had big tv's, comfortable couches. But it got old.
So we made the decision to get rid of it all.
We sold 90% of our belongings, sold the house, bought a camper, bought a couple acres, and started to plan our homestead. After only a few short months, we began feeling the desire to be around family in Texas.
So...we listed the property.
When we sold again, we had rabbits, chickens, ducks, goats, and a pig. We sold most of those animals and packed everything else up and made the trip to Texas, all while towing a camper and having the goats in a pen in the back of our truck. Within a month of being in Texas, we found our "forever" property.
Now we are slowly building our homestead...all while raising four kids, a few dogs and cats, and a host of other animals. Life is great on our farm!
