Embarking on a homemade French Toast adventure is the perfect way to break in your new bread machine! There’s something incredibly satisfying about creating delicious meals from scratch. Lmk how it goes chef! Which bread machine did you pick up?
@@TheSpiceRoadRecipesbread turned out better than expected for a first attempt. Still have to refine the hydration measurements for the dough. It’s the zojirushi bbpdc20 vp model.
If there’s one meal that I had the option of eating for the rest of my life, it’d be French Toast! JIT for the weekend - I’ll be sure to try this recipe!!
French Toast is the ultimate comfort food, isn’t it? It’s simple, yet so indulgent and satisfying. I’m with you on this 😋 Enjoy making it this weekend. Would love to hear your results!
It’s like building your own custom ‘thick slice’ right at home! Plus, it adds an extra layer of fluffy texture that’ll soak up all the eggy goodness. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even add a thin layer of your favorite spread between the slices for a surprise filling. I've also heard Challah is a popular choice for French Toast due to it's dense texture that becomes wonderfully fluffy and custardy when soaked in the egg mixture, creating a delightful contrast with the crispy exterior. It’s slightly sweet and buttery, which complements the flavors of the custard. Challah’s subtle sweetness enhances the overall taste of the French Toast. It's thickness allows it to soak up the egg mixture without falling apart, which is essential for creating the perfect French Toast. As well as it's ability to hold up well to various toppings and syrups.
Awww thank you for sharing 😊 Isn’t it amazing how certain flavors can transport us back to the happiest moments of our childhood? The aroma of French Toast cooking, the sound of the sizzle in the pan, and the warmth of the kitchen filled with love - all these memories tied to a simple yet magical dish. It’s more than just food; it’s a reminder of the love and care our moms put into every meal 🍞💖
i made all three, i like the green and peanut, the red ... i have to improve my spice tolerance😅 getting there, one recipe at a time. Thanks for making the recipes accessible 🙏 now i'm going to make batches for the next couple weeks. I started using them to flavor all my food LOL
Eggs on toast were a staple in my household growing up. Tho my naani ji used to make this spicy jam for us to use on toast as well. I can’t remember what she called it or how she made it ahahah. Do you know any recipes for spicy jam?
Hey there! That sounds like such a special memory with your naani ji. The spicy jam you’re thinking of is probably the fruit jams made in the south. Stay tuned! I do have a recipe!! It’s amazing how food can bring back such wonderful memories! ☺️
Pinches of those common spices don't capture the essence of the Spice Road. It's the exploration of exotic ingredients - saffron, turmeric, cardamom - that brings this culinary journey to life. I hop to see more interesting dishes. The egg could have had hot garlic chili oil added or avocado and lemon with coriander. Why did you choose such a bland dish?
Thank you for your feedback! I’m trying to do a mix of teaching both easier dishes and more complicated dishes for people who are more experienced. Don’t know if you saw my samosa video, but that is not as simple as this one. But for someone who doesn’t have a lot of ingredients or is intimidated by cooking - this is a dish that’s easy to make but still flavourful. ☺️
I like this recipe, I made it with the chutney from the EDC recipe - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CqvKtPAVn8Q.htmlsi=YXWbVmaHoVY7QZdY - sooo good!!!!
I always buy mono’s didn’t know they were so easy to make!! Gonna start making them myself! … also love eating them with chilli flakes in balsamic vinegar 🤤🤤
Hi! I just released a video of the naan - you can check it out here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zHGpOBaMgc4.htmlsi=m-XxN8iW_9q35AXy

for best results, I recommend that you deep fry them. But you can try brushing the samosas with oil before using an air fryer. best results are from deep frying though!
