Come along with me on this new journey, my name is Sasha and I currently live in Warsaw, Poland with my 5 year old daughter and my husband. Tag along if you want to continue to explore this wonderful country with me.
This is Poland!!! Beautiful, proud, open to everyone who respects its culture and traditions. Warsaw is like Phoenix that rose from the ashes after the German destruction during World War II.
The Vistula's dramatically low water is visible at 8:16. No wonder, as recent "rains" have been pathetic. Warsaw's summer heat is really getting on me, I like the heat, but I wish I was at the Masurian lakes right now. ;) The lack of A/C at home (it's still a rarity in Warsaw houses) is also an issue these days (and nights). So, the Czerniaków and Zegrze lakes (and Moczydło and Szczęśliwice outdoor swimming pools) must replace Masuria and the Baltic beaches for refreshing swimming (in the Vistula it's still forbidden).
@@SashaLaboy You're right, last year summer's average temperature in Warsaw is 20.23 degrees Celsius, this year's is 20.96 degrees (until 18th August). Btw, it's very close to the historical record hot summer of 2019. Climate warming doesn't stop.
There are two specialities that I don't eat in summer (definitely not when it's hot). The first is "tatar" (raw beef with yolk), the second is sushi. :) You're mentioning the rain, but actually this summer has been quite dry, the Vistula water is very low. The deficit of moisture has been aggravating in Warsaw's area over the recent years, due to climate warming. Btw, I love the Ujazdowski park. Rarely shown on YT.
@@benwars9524 believe me when I say I will never eat raw fish again, in my home town barely rains so rain here Warsaw to me is a lot, but I’ve grown to enjoy it specially when there are thunderstorms 🥰
IMHO Ursynów (on the video) is one of the best livable areas of Warsaw. Maybe not that spectacular, but well combining a relaxed atmosphere with what the city has to offer. Plus convenient metro line to city centre.
You were very close to the brand new pedestrian-biking bridge over the Vistula river. I hope you explore it on a sunny day, it offers great views of the city centre skyscrapers and the Old Town. :)
Every country has its pros and cons. The weather certainly isn't Poland's pro, as it's usually cold, rainy or snowy and - worst of all - very gloomy, with acute deficit of sunshine, in all seasons except summer. And - to make it even worse - chilly/rainy spells do occur also in mid-summer. If one wants to live here, there's no other reasonable option but to accept this. Which is your country of origin?
I also roamed the Mokotów Field (Pole Mokotowskie) on a recent sunny spring day. It's truly attractive following its renovation. If hungry while there, I recommend the "Lolek" Grill & Bar close to the lake, a good place to chill and eat well at reasonable prices, or to just have a drink or coffee.
@@SashaLaboy we have four seasons: spring, green, summer, heat, autumn, I also like the colors in the forests, the leaves, winter, white and cold, when I was young, I didn't mind winter, now I suffer from depression
