Just my story. I had a friend that traded in a really nice pickup to a local dealer. I knew what they gave him for it. So I go in to deal on it. The price they were asking was way over what they gave him for it. I actually walked out the door 3 or maybe I should say 4 times. The last time I walked out the door I got a good deal on it. Which made them some money and saved me some money. Oh and they chased me out the door all for times. Hell I know they have to make money, but they also don't have to try to screw me. It was only on the lot for a few days. So it wasn't sitting there costing them anything. Probably took over 2 hours but I did get the truck at reasonable price. I just wish they didn't do that. Give me a fair price and I'll buy it. Don't try to screw me.
Not a fair comparison. I mean obviously I can’t argue that the V6 6AT wins against the 4cyl CVT no matter what but If you look closely, the 4 banger has ECON mode on while the V6 didn’t, so it’s kind of an unfair comparison. With ECON mode on, it accelerates a lot slower
@@Leek-v8kI see that the gauges are different. The sport one is red and this one is all white and I hadn’t noticed that until now. But however I see what your saying, but has it been proven because I never knew that. Guess you learn something new everyday huh lol. I have a 2017 Accord Sport SE so I never knew that, quite interesting honestly
@@theunit28 might start off slow in a month or two and do some let's plays and see what happens. I miss those days as well. Had a lot of fun with you all.
Unfair comparison... 30 degree difference btw I4 and V6... Don't get me wrong, I hate that car companies are only making tiny turbocharged hyperefficient engines nowadays (don't get me started on EVs), but at least make the comparison fair!
I know this is an old video but I was curious how many people used 5W-50 in their gen III coyotes. I have a 21 Mach 1 that had the tick. I went to the Mach 1 track attack at charlotte motor speedway and all those cars get beat on but they all run super quiet at idle. I said to the instructor what oil do you guys use in these? They run so quiet no tick. He said oh you noticed huh!! He said we run castrol 5W-50. I couldn’t find the castrol but I certainly found the Amsoil and the tick is GONE!! 5W-30 is for fuel economy only. So if you have the tick 5W-50. The other thing he told me is ford does all their performance testing with 5W-50. That tells me if you want the most longevity out of your coyote use the heavier weight oil. My car only got 14 mpg before now I get 13.
Too bad the v6 comes only in automatic transmission, I'll stick to my i4 just beacuse it's manual transmission. Good luck for those automatic tansmission when they go out before any manual transmission. 😂 Eventually I'll get to point B saving more gas then a v6 the way price gases are. 🤷♂️
Outside temperature of the I4 run was 92F vs the V6 at 62F. This will impact the performance of the vehicle. Air is hotter and it’s more denser. It’s not a fair comparison.
Wow I forgot how slow a stock 9G Sport was with the CVT. The K24W engine itself isn’t bad though. I used to daily a 9G Sport with an HPS intake, RV6 PCD and resonated midpipe going to the stock dual catback and I tuned it with Ktuner on 93. It made mid 190s at the wheel and the power curve was nearly identical to what a J30 V6 car makes on the same dyno. That car was significantly faster than the example here, but that CVT kills a lot of acceleration potential, except when tuned from a roll it actually isn’t that bad because the engine gets to sit right in the meat of its powerband and doesn’t have to drop in and out with each gear change. The stock tune really numbs it down though so without at least a good flash these cars don’t do much.
@@tommorais7776 yep, I made that deal with myself. Just send it! It's been 5 years for me with mine and I haven't regretted it at all. I love that car!
I test benchmark this game My specs pc I7 3770k oc to 4400mhz 16gb ram ddr3 Rtx 2070 super oc 2000mhz gpu clock 15500 mhz memory clock 4k ultra Frame score - 3798 Fps 64fps - 90% gpu load
Don’t understand how this happens, I’m a mechanic and it don’t make sense unless they use liquid Moly from factory, my GT 22 has 5k first oil change and this started , I was pushed thought the dealer crew over revved it. But I put Ceratec in it Liqui Moly and it stopped instantly!
Hi...I'm old school car guy. I've been under the hood on more vehicles than most mechanics. True. Every hot wheels since the 60's. GTOs, 442,s, Chevelles, Mopar and the like. Picture if you will my 2017 Platinum white GT premium drop top. Beautiful and spotless, in the wrapper. I was in the car biz over 30yrs. I couldn't take it a anymore. 6040 miles I sold it, sooo disappointed. Tick tick tick, drove me nuts. Embarrassing, other guys asking what the heck is that, a new car. Ford engineers should be embarrassed. Don't let them tear apart your mill for no reason. Now I have a new Ford Ranger, really like this truck. So sad, I want a 2024, but don't need the anxiety. I'd never put up with driving a car for thousands of miles like that. The guys that do, I don't understand why...easily satisfied my guess.
that sucks man. i try not to pay too much attention to rattles and stuff like that in the motor because i just got it and have no interest in engine mods.
No apologies needed, for me it was great, just informed of the stages, DIY, small dot in middle thermal paste, please don’t spread it around or put your thumb on the cooler plate, just saying, many thanks my friend:) kudos
FYI... my experience... My 2015 F150 5.0 V8 that I bought USED November 2021 with 105000 miles on it, has the typewriter ticking noise at idle since I bought it. As of November 2022 at 118000 miles I still have same ticking, no change in the tick sound. I have NOT noticed any performance issues or problems so far. My 5.0 has performed flawlessly so far. I love this truck and engine so far. Fingers crossed.
