Right were Winston saids "Alright play times over let's toast this muffin" so in the first movie where Peter saids "Alright' this chick is toast, I started to imagine that Winston should've said it like this without the word muffin' I imagine him saying "Alright play times over let's finally toast this chick, what do say peter' (Peter) Winston old buddy you took the words right out of my mouth. And at that moment is when they started to blast Gozer' that's what they should've done in Afterlife' with words from their old lines, imagine if that could've been done!
This scene had me in tears. Ghostbusters was one of my favorite movies my dad introduced me to when I was younger (I'm 16 right now as of right now). He introduced me to minst of the great classics from the late 70s, through the 80s, and lastly the 90s and early 2000s. Rest in peace Harold, we miss you.
I grew up on the originals and i will never see this movie, bill murray ruined every chance to getting a 3rd movie made and this is a sad pathetic way to cash in on nostalgia.
This movie was awesome. My mother got me into Ghostbusters since 1989. I watched part 1 n 2 all the time and the cartoons.😁👏 😰 Sadly... my Mother passed away shortly before this movie came out 😔. I know like Egon...she is with me too. She was a Ghostbuster and made me one too. Now it's my turn...my story. Love you Mom and love this movie👏👏☕☕
I’m happy so happy to watch this movie. This movie exceeded all expectations beyond the universe. Harold Ramis you may be egon but you will never ever be forgotten you are true ghostbusters This world will miss you and so all the Ghostbusters fans. We are all true ghostbusters! Give me a thumbs up if you all agree with my comment. P.S. “ if there’s something strange in your neighborhood who you gonna call?”
The first movie will always be the best one, in my opinion. That´s when we were introduced to these characters and fell in love with them. But I gotta say, Afterlife was better than I anticipated. I thought I was going to dislike the idea of "children Ghostbusters", but in the end it was a story about Egon´s family and how they reconnected with him after his death. My only complaint is that they played a little bit too safe when they decided to rehash the Gozer plot line. It was a missed oportunity to do something new. But other than that, it was great. I cried like a baby when Egon helped her steady the stream. And seeing all four of them again was a dream come true, even with Egon as a ghost. It felt like Murray, Dan and Ernie´s way of saying to their friend Harold how much they miss him, as do we all. For all intents and purposes, for me this is Ghostbusters 3.
I completely broke down when Egon finally showed up. Ghostbusters was a highlight of my childhood years, and I dreamt of a third film every day as a kid. God I love this movie
In case you haven't found out already, the stand in for Egon in this scene is Ivan (I don't know how to spell the last name but it is Jason's dad who dirrected the original two movies.)
I just had the pleasure to see the entire movie, though it was a download. I love it, it truly is a masterpiece! Thank you so much Jason and everyone else involved! The way Egon is put in the movie is heart-warming and touching, I cried. Now waiting for a dvd or blu-ray, depending on the sound-options and extra's.
