As someone who had volunteered in womens shelter and worked wity marriage counselors, id seen confrontation between cheating spouse or partner and the victim... One thing ive never ever ever seen is any cheating partner behave with the denseness and entitlement of Exs in these stories where they casually expect FLs to accept their cheating while having the guts to get offended at FL finding another guy.... The worst offender ive seen was a guy who being muslm told his Ex wife that he was just being religious in finding other women, so she shouldn't go against religion - he tried to create issues against her n her family by portraying her resistance to his polygamous interests as something against religion... But even then lots of ppl from his religion and law and all others sided against him, even most of his family.... I dont understand why these cheating hubbies in these stories are all shocked when their spouses finally have enough, dont want to bear them babies and want divorces. The system is terrible story plot. It’s one dimensional and if you give me a protagonist I can identify with the worst thing I hate is a character who has no free will. I can deal with bad situations but not weak characters with bad traits.
