I cant stand people calling her problematic. She isn’t, she tells the truth about a lot of stuff it isn’t fair. What if people called you that? And it Isn’t true? Cause the people calling her problematic are just as, or more “problematic” as her. If anything, if she is problematic you’re adding fuel to her fire.
she regularly incites drama - to the point that there's a dedicated section to all of the people/corporations/countries she's had beef w on her fandom page and she makes it a point to randomly attack innocent people and marginalised communities when telling the "truth"... likewise, she's been caught in numerous *lies* - serious lies - so she's (evidently) not as honest as u seem to think she is. she's not problematic because she's had messy moments in her life (that's everyone); she's problematic because she's constantly causing problems for no real reason and inserting herself into situations to stoke the flames and rile people up. she is the definition of problematic, and calling this out isnt "adding fuel to her fire" (what?), it's allowing people to make an informed decision on an artist before they sink time, energy and money into supporting them wo necessarily-knowing who theyre supporting. azealia being problematic doesnt mean youre barred from listening to her music, nor does it (inherently) make *u* problematic for choosing to support her - it just requires u have the ability to think for yourself, and know not to condone or replicate some of her behaviours. look up her beef w skai jackson (who was 14 at the time). not only did she start beef w a child, but she continued to throw out the vilest of insults at said-child the entire time and did so w an audience of thousands. that behaviour is inexcusable. it is not unfair to hold azealia accountable for her actions and refusal to reflect on such. rather, it's unfair that u expect somebody to be absolved of all responsibility for her actions because u like her music - who are u? now, there is one thing that's undoubtedly unfair abt the way that azealia's been treated by the industry and public-alike, and that's that (no matter how problematic she is) she's not anymore problematic than many of her contemporaries - *most* male rappers are just as (if not, more) problematic than her, yet they face zero repercussions for any of their actions, meanwhile azealia is shunned from the industry for hers? that's unfair - none of them cared for morality when they were all booking their flights to epste*n island
