That's really cool! ... A lot of people are making bad "comments" about this helicopter!.. me personally I wouldn't want to get in any helicopter I like to have both feet firmly on the ground!!... Although I do drive a F-350 with a 10-in lift !! ...why?.. people today! Can't drive, I feel much safer..
How many times are you going to stare at the engine? Clueless when he says the needle doesn't work. Sitting on the collective, half in half out of the helicopter? Trying to crank the engine 72 times.....pretty sure the rotors shouldn't engage at engine start? My god, dude should have deep-sixed this pile of "no clue!"
your phantom looks like a fresh build?, when was it built? what is engine type? i like the cabin cover, im going to look into that, im restoring a phantom in 2024 with electric power as my goal
dude you deserve more comments, the dog is hilarious, Im restoring a first gen phantom, just ordered carbon fiber pod, new sails and going electric power,
Absolutely awesome. Congrats, one of the coolest things a guy could do are A build a helicopter then B fly it! very neat good for you, never mind the jealous haters.
not much on safety, eh.....hopefully, you'll either give this away, or take some more courses on ground safety, ground harmonics, dangers of down prop wash, flight near people, etc..... smh
Same thing happened to me on a full power launch yesterday. It broke into quite a few bits. Just got it glued back together and will see if it still flies, but no more full power launches for this bird.
Really cool, and belated Congrats on your accomplishment, but 2-strokes scare the dodo out of me in a aircraft. Heck as a old school Continental and Lycoming guy, even the Rotax 912/914 series of 4-strokes still creep me out a little. I guess I love direct drive engines too much.
