In 2020, Eddie Bauer turned 100. From designing the first patented down jacket in America to outfitting the first American ascent of Mt. Everest, we’ve built quite a legacy of inspiration, innovation and exploration over the past century. But what’s better than knowing where you’ve been? Being certain of your path forward. For the next 100 years our mission is to use what we’ve learned to inspire and enable all people to connect with the outdoors, and to provide clothing and gear that is accessible to everyone while reducing our impact on the environment.
Our Mission: To inspire and enable everyone to experience the outdoors and live their adventure.
When he summited Everest without oxygen, his face was BLUE. Why??? Then risks everyones life by climbing K2 with a stomach bug while getting other people sick. That inability to accept limitation is a good way to not only die, but endanger everyone else's life. You have a 25% of dying on K2. So many things said no, & he went anyways and Eddie Bauer got their plug without casualties.
They all need to go back to these mountains and clean up the mess they have all left. This is what happens when you have too much money and time to waste
It's strange to see how the summits of some eight-thousanders are degenerating into via ferratas. This no longer has anything to do with high alpinism.
One of my best memories was getting to know Jim Wittiker. He gave me a Parka that was made for him. He was my childhood hero in the late 60's and 70's. I live west of Seattle close by Port Townsend. Thanks Eddie Bauer. God bless to all who went before.
Seriously??? $ 10 or 15???? Ridiculous. You guys spend lakhs to face death. And these guys are there to support you all. And is this their worth??? I can't believe it. Shame. Sorry.
2 dollars really????... it's a life and death expedition and your at the mercy of the mountain and the porters.. come on!!.. I would give atleast 25 dollars for my porter...
Love seeing Larry's contagious grin and "it's gonna be ok" out in the wild. Thanks for all you have done as a role model and mentor for generations of musicians and LGBTQ folks in Memphis!
When you visit my country pakistan please make sure to reward those who help you in summit as those villagers live a very tough life and are poor GIVE THEM back more than they charge
