I am known as ArtsyPowerApper on Twitter and an employee at Microsoft who is very passionate enhancing collaboration and productivity with PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents. I am crazy about mobile apps too because I love enhanced experiences for remote and on-the-go professionals like myself. Now that I've joined the Power CAT team I'm excited to support all the Power Addicts in the world!
Absolutely fantastic! The way you teach is awesome and I actually learnt something (not to mention the flow now works!) tried a few other videos on RU-vid, nothing worked or made sense. How you taught it actually digested and im super happy! Well done, keep up the great work!
Hello. I was able to recreate the workflow, but at the point where I get the content of the file, when I review the raw output and try to view the image by following the URL, the browser displays: { "Message": "Missing Authorization header for a privileged call on connection.", "Source": "product policy" } Any idea why this happens? This results in the image not being added to the sharepoint list..
Hi Audrie. I am completely non technical person. I used this tutorial and it worked perfectly. Thank you. I did run into an issue. When there is no attachment uploaded from the MS forms end, the flow fails on me. The attachment question is a non mandatory question. I get this error: Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Parse_JSON' inputs at line '0' and column '0': 'Required property 'content' expects a value but got null. Path ''.'. could you please help
Yes someone else got that too. It just means you have to change the schema you put in the parse json if you're not sure that there will be attachments. Try just using all of the json from the get details. Won't be a straight forward but still works.
Thank you so much! you explained it so clearly and in a way that makes sense. I've been using PowerApps for years and only now have found a tutorial that actually explains it. Amazing.
Hi Audrie - You have a follower here, from Canberra Autralia ~ Thanks so much for all your time and effort in making the video tutorials. I have learnt a lot! Would you know where I can access: Part 3: About using Copilot to build the Budget Tracker Template with modern look & feel (on Dataverse)? Many thanks. Joelle
Great..! But I have one query related to dynamic adaptive card. Suppose I need to get the response from generative ai in which will upload PDF or word doc or excel or sharpoint to get the response to the user. I need to get that response in an adaptive card and it should be dynamic. Is it possible ?? If yes please comment
For some reason my library doesn't show the column I use in the list of columns in the settings so I can't figure out what the internal name is. Therefore, the rows are blank in my page. Any idea why this is? I'm not sure why I didn't use Title but it's blank. So frustrating!
This is common because the title field is not populated when you upload files to SharePoint, you have to specifically update the Title field (either in the info of the doc or in the library). It's easy to tell what the internal name is for any column though by going to SharePoint, opening the column as if you were going to edit the column setting, then look up at the URL from the column settings page. The URL will end with field= then right after the = will be the actual internal name on SharePoint. Hope that helps.
great visuals! this was a nice walkthrough of the game for beginners (of which I am one) :p the only bad thing is after about 5min 8sec in, your voice is pretty much inaudible :( the background music is so loud that I couldn't understand any of your commentary
This worked wonderfully -- but if there is not attachment I get a parse error. I've read that using the Scope control can help, but I don't quite understand how to use that.
Really apologize for the issue you are facing. Just so everyone knows, in the Parse JSON I'm using the schema of the attachments - which unfortunately does not exist if there is no attachment. Therefore to allow for both scenarios use the body schema instead, then test for the attachment field being null before you do anything else in a condition. (I think you got this but wanted to share here for others.)🥰
Dear Audrie, You are a wonderful person! Your enthusiasm is contagious! I have a question: how can I create a library based on a template in Sharepoint? Thank You ... !
Hey Audrie, thanks for a detailed explanation, I have just a quick question, if we have 100s of items then why would we do line by line, rather why not we do the whole list at the same time. Can you please advise how? Thanks.
Thanks so much for this. Been looking for a simplified way of saving and emailing forms attachments. I am replicating this file for an MS Forms with two separate file upload fields, where one is mandatory and the other is optional. I managed to get it working but struggling to cater for the when there is no attachment for the optional attachment, which I thought I could cater for in the 2nd parse JSON. Are you able to advise please?
Solution documentation is at learn.microsoft.com/power-apps/maker/data-platform/solutions-overview - although it may not call out every posible solution component. For your convenience I just double checked by opening a Solution in my environment, then clicking on "Add Existing" in the top menu, and then I saw "AI Model" at the top. (Create the AI Model firstly in the appropriate environment, then add it to the desired Solution.)@@julien8979
AI Builder GPT models require a premium license. An alternative approach could be to extend the M365 Copilot using Copilot Studio. Thank you for watching.
Thank you. The admin will have to add Commercial Data Protection. I added another video to the playlist which explains this in more detail and shows how easy it is to do too! Thank you again for asking!
I was hoping there would be a new advent calendar this year, and am absolutely thrilled that the topic will be on Copilots use within the Power Platform! Sharing with friends and co-workers :)
In my case, I knew there would always be an attachment (due to the requirement). But you can definitely mitigate the risk. Try adding a condition to your flow. Or you may choose to leverage something like the Coalesce function in expressions. Thank you for watching :)
@@deniseboyter9046 I added a condition which looks at the document upload is equal to blank, the false then contains the Parse JSON, Get file content and Add Attachment steps. HTH
Thank you for this walk through very thorough and detailed, I was wondering if you had been able to use these attachments to populate the Image field in a SPO list?
Audrie, this is great. I'm using Sharepoint, and I want to add a person multi select column to the Details List. I know how to deal with a normal person column but I can't figure out how to add a multi-select one.
