I found this race tough going as well. Had no idea about the river crossing at the foot of Blackford Hill - or maybe I went the wrong way. But at this point I realised I was definitely wearing the wrong shoes for the race... Great event though. Congrats on the video and keep up the excellent work 👍

@@RunEdinburgh I had no idea about the route between Braid Hill and Blackford Hill and blindly followed others. Not sure it was the right way to go! I don't think I will be making a race specific video - my intention is to make one video about all of the running I have been doing over the past 12 months and this would be a part of it. Trying to move away from doing lots of running videos as this is not really what I want my channel to be about (plus my enthusiasm for running fluctuates an awful lot!).

Thanks a lot mate. The weather was actually perfect for a PB. If it had been Sunny and warm it would have been worse than the rain! Was brutal getting home afterwards though ☔😑😑

That wee camera is so temperamental! It's handy though as it's so small, goes into the smallest pocket of your belt/vest. Good luck for Sunday too mate!
Thanks mate, it's taken a bit of practice that's for sure. It can be really annoying at times. I think the trick is to not over do the fancy effects. It's fun nevertheless! Are you still using yours? 🙂
Hey! I'm new to Edinburgh and was wondering if all of the paths in Dalmeny Estate are open to the public. Looks like it. Just the houses and castles are closed?
Great start with the training also starting training this week for the EMF with a similar goal time in mind of 3:45 😬. can I ask what training plan you are using?. The Damlmeny estate looks a great run I'm running the Innocent Half there this weekend so looking forward too it 😀.
Thanks! I'm using the London Marathon Improver plan. It's free on their website and is a good base for running 4 days a week. Edinburgh's ones you had to pay for. Good luck with your training!

Oh I'm glad you got to see it! I spotted you in quite a lot of my clips right from the start in editing. Was probably my favourite marathon experience even though I struggled towards the end! It was still amazing. Thanks for watching and nice to meet you too! Do you have any other races lined up? 🙂
Yes, we had a very similar pace for a good chunk of the race so I'm not surprised :) I loved that amazing scenery and the endless sunset. Glad you enjoyed it too despite the struggle. No, nothing planned yet on my side... For now!
