BOMBASTIC ENTERTAINMENT ® is just that -- we produce films that are unique, special effects heavy fun, but the goal always remains the same; to entertain.
What started as a one man show back in 1998 has evolved into 50+ short films with more on the way as fast as we can produce them. We like to think we accomplish a lot with nothing, and would love to have you along for the ride.
Wish I could recall the exact measurements, but it's been a while. I measured the hat lights and switch with a caliper so they friction fit, then applied super glue where necessary. Hope that helps
I used 3/4" stand offs and a washer on both sides of the MB. The length of screws was probably 1 1/4" so it had enough meat to hold the Alice frame + MB when the nuts were applied.
How in all the years of searching zombie short films this video was NEVER suggested until now, May 16, 2024!!! Only 16 years since the film was uploaded!! Great flim, loved it!!
I bought the kit when it was first released... I think that is going on 8 years ago lol. It has been sitting for that long and recently my son has gotten into Ghostbusters, so I think it is time to dust it off. I had bought a lot of upgrades as well for it at the time (I am just not that handy and this kit was still intimidating). Your video is great and has given me confidence to start. One of the upgrades I made though is a glass wand tip, so I was wondering if you would suggest a way to run the hat lights that would not involve drilling a hole (I assume that would be bad)
"I'm fuzzy on the whole good bad thing". Kidding! Good for you! As for the glass tip, that seems like a cool upgrade, unfortunately I have never delt with drilling/tooling glass, so I can't give any guidance there.
I have the same pack. Finished in in 2020. I had every same issue you had. Also did what you did, upgraded everything from the get go. I give the kit a 6/10. A lot of tuning needed to get things to sit flush. I just upgraded my motherboard with an all aluminum one this weekend. Well worth it. I used all the Anovos lights and actually drilled the LED bulbs into them. Easy to undo if the bulb dies.
Thank you! "Dead End" was literally the last thing we filmed too... we just happened to turn the truck around for the last shot, when I saw the sign and thought "this is either really clever or really stupid" lol
I remember seeing your build a few years ago, and going on a Proton Pack binge lately again, I thought I’d watch this again. One of the best, most relaxing build videos out there! So crazy it took *so* long to deliver this shell, and with so much work that still needed to be done to it, this definitely took a lot of patience. The pack came out beautiful and I hope it still holds up today. The prop scene has come a long way since your build, some of us now with multiple proton packs thanks to Hasbro and Spirit! Though your video is older now, it’s still a very viable resource in paint work, patch ups, and adding real hardware to the shell - so I’ll be referring to it when I tackle my full-size Spirit Pack mod. Excellent video and Proton Pack! Hope you’re still busting out there 👍🏼
Thanks so much! It was a rewarding process for sure, glad the information is still relevant to help other ghost heads and yes; still bustin every Halloween and the occasional nerd con XD It's on display in the living room and always starts fun conversations when people see it.
Actually a cemetery would be a pretty safe place. Zombies are not digging out of a grave. Metal casket locked, inside of a thick concrete vault with 6ft of dirt on top. Not happening.
This is one of the best best zombie movies that I've seen I hope you guys will make another one . Maybe a behind the scenes video . The acting was pretty spot on . All four actors have such amazing chemistry. Can't wait to see what you guys have next.
Thanks so much for the kind words! We did a BTS video (of sorts) if you want to see how we did some of the effects, check out this video here. Thanks again, much appreciated- great to hear you enjoyed it! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b1SxmU-jZl0.html
Ughhhh I just wish she would've brought up the video she saw, they could've even tried to figure out what happened to the guy or if there's been any other victims!! Other than that though, I definitely enjoyed this!!
I expected someone to get cornered and eaten by zombies, but I didn't expect he was gonna get torn in half ala Captain Rhodes in Day of The Dead! Nice effects!!!!! Really good short film!!! I enjoyed it!
It's ironic that everyone is looking at Haslab pack videos for mod ideas yet this is probably the best example of a proton pack build video available on RU-vid!
You're actually an amazing filmmaker 🎥🍿🏆 I've been watching your creations all morning and I must say I haven't laughed this hard since Naked Gun or National lampoon's vacation. 😆 True talent, so please don't stop making films.
