I'm actually wondering if it is okay to remove the lining completely on a men's slim fit blazer that has the polyester lining and wool outer shell? The polyester lining doesn't seem to "add" structure to the blazer other than being stitched into the seams and anchoring the internal pockets.
This video is heaven-sent tonight. I ordered a lovely cotton velvet jacket to wear over my wedding dress (in a month), and when it arrived today I realized the size 34 I ordered is not a US size 34" bust (with lots of ease) but a French size 34, or XS with little to no ease in my shoulder area. I'm perusing the internet looking for ways to make it work and this one rings the right bell! I do a great deal of sewing for myself and my home so I have sewing skills, and the lining is a beautiful patterned fabric. I will find a way to take apart the lining in the shoulders and retain the nice finished look on the inside. Thank you so much.
Thank you thank you thank you. Months ago during heavy rain I had a pen in my hand when rushing to put on an overcoat and caused a long rip in the sleeve lining. Checked YT to see what to do before tossing it out . Glad I found your video. Since is worth keeping probably will get it relined so.Thx x2
Why does covid shrink jackets? I knew covid had a lot of potential side affects in humans but I didn't realise it was transmissible to a jacket. If this is the case I will throw my jackets out in case they pass covid back to me. 😱 😨 🙀
This has just happened to me. Found a really nice vintage skirt I love. But it's too tight at the waistband. Managed to undo the waistband, found some more fabric where the zip was and are extending it to make it bigger.
Hey I have a question so you litterly cut the inside linking hole of the sleeve with scissors? And I also wanted to ask would it damage the jacket from the outside ?
