Hiya! I'm new to the channel but so glad I stumbled across your channel. I just finished filming my own mid year book freak out tag and it's awesome to see other people give their responses. Just subbed :)
Hello There, i am new to your channel, two things brought me here,.. I decided to super simplify my you tube watching ,to specifically channels that could be iof help to me ,instead of just browsing , i needed to to go back to my Love of Books and reading 📚, So two things brought me to your channel, (1) Your love of book reading and recommendations 😊 ❤📚🌿☕️📖/// And ( 2) you mentioned San Diego 💧🌊🌟🪁💫⛱️🌊 I was born and raised there, i lived there 52 yrs, I recognized the coast / beach you shared, we lived in La Jolla for 14 yrs , then i went back to Imperial Beach until i moved to ARIZONA 😅 2 yrs ago to help my mother with my Dad's end of life care ** / Best decision i ever made ❤ because i Loved my papoa so much, // Well Thank you for this particular video i wrote down two books that really caught my attention. /// Have a Blessed Day 🌿🩷💫
New to your channel & I believe you’re the first San Diego BookTuber I’ve seen before! I’m in San Diego north county myself, grew up here. Del Mar is actually within the city limits of San Diego, most don’t consider it north county, just one of the many (coastal) suburbs of San Diego. There’s several more cities/towns/county jurisdictions north of Del Mar to explore; we have FLL & plenty of free parking too so maybe I’ll see ya up here sometime! 😆
I am SO THERE for all the zoo tea™. I haven't lived in SD for just over two decades now, but when I did, I had a local resident season pass to SeaWorld, and the drama you could overhear just from sitting in the right place was amazing. :D
I adore Braiding Sweet Grass. I also loved her other book, which has very similar vibes but is less well known, called Gathering Moss. Funny that Kimmerer comes up in your video because just this morning a friend asked if I wanted her to get us tickets to see her speak at a nearby university. You bet I said yes! A book that my "more traditional" book club enjoyed was Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. Almost everyone in the group liked it and yet there was still lots of topics of discussion. A book I just finished which I'd like to recommend to my book club is The Cemtery of Untold Stories by Julia Alvarez.
I absolutely loved gathering moss!! It made me so curious about the different types of moss around me. I really want to do a re-read. I’ll have to those two books! They definitely look like my jam :)
I discovered your channel through this video. I just did a big unhaul and filled up my community bookshelf. I’m planning on doing it again next week. Happy Reading! 😎📚👍
What a fun day! Love the lighthouse there at Point Loma. My aunt & uncle used to live in San Diego. I miss going there. I'm near Palm springs, #181897.
This is a wonderful idea for a video series. I live thousands of miles away, but if I ever make it out that way I'll be revisiting your videos. Thank you! And your husband proposed in a bookstore ~ such a novel idea! 🥰 💜 💫
Ironically seeing this after dumping all mine at little libraries around me. I liked it ends with us but couldn’t get into any other one. She writes too close to wattpad/fanfic style for me
I made some ornaments out of dried oranges, limes, and lemons DECADES ago. My son was a baby. Now is 40 now. And I still have some of those ornaments! I hang them on my tree every year.
Michael Pollan seems like quite an interesting man. Every time I hear his name, I say this phrase in my mind ~ (think it's the first line of one of his books). "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly vegetables."
Honestly not surprised there were no bombshells in the last section. Bombshells need to be reserved for the show! And I cannot believe they actually included the video of Heather getting sick on the bus. And poor Whitney stuck inside getting it all on her made me want to gag even more.
This is a great idea for a fantastic video love it and love your amazing channel prayers and blessings for you and your family love your Aussie family friend John ❤❤❤
What a great vlog. Chi has such great taste. I agreed with his choices. I would pick going out everytime also. I loved watching the dogs have fun on the beach. Loved following the choices.
That’s actually a really good idea. Especially for mood readers. And I tend to make Pinterest boards and Spotify playlists for books so this only makes sense for me. Thanks for the idea!❤
