Hi, I am using TESQ equipment for surge test. My system is single phase AC system. When I test for common mode , that is Line to earth , I could see same voltage in Line to Neutral. Is this accepted? If so why differential surge is required .
My understanding of these is that the discharge a high voltage capacitor into the DUT. Can I ask how the switching is done. Is this none using some form of high voltage relay or is it done solid state. Thanks best regards Chris
Can you demonstrate how to use the sense lines? Can the sense line be connected to the DUT to avoid the voltage droop across the cable? Since the cable from the PA5840 to the NSG5500 is quite long, will it be any loss? The superimposed alternating test is quite fast at 30kHz. I suspect you won't get the same modulation amplitude at the DUT without having the sense connected. It would be appreciated if there is a demo about how to use the sense lines.
