The home of Fashion over 50 for casual women. I am passionate that women over 50 remain relevant by looking stylish over 50. I believe we all have value regardless of our age and aim to bring you that confidence through your outfits.
Remember, when on holidays, no one will know you and no one will be looking at you, so feel comfortable and happy in your choice of clothes. Cheers and happy holidays.
Since I let my gray hair come in, none of my favorite colors look right on me. I love neutrals. I miss them. Most of my clothes look awful on me. Still trying but I'm ready to quit with the clothes. I have rosacea so that makes it even harder. I also haven't wore makeup , except for my children's weddings.
It was 1 trousers that was suggested and they weren’t used. 3 shorts were used. It was 3 skirts I took but said 4 in error in the video and I wore 3. 3 dresses were worn. 14 outfits were needed to include eating out in the evening. I would suggest next time to be more specific when asking ChatGPT to include the planned activities and lifestyle. Yes I think I wore of the items so as I could share images but ChatGPT didn’t know that when it created the list.
How bizarre when they are saturating the shops. But I have said before that when you watch videos and read blogs on trends you'll find consistency and so my conclusion in that video was to wear what you like, but just be aware. I also say that the reason to be aware is not to follow but to know that if something suits you then when it's on trend there's abundance in the stores to choose from. That to me is the point of knowing.
@@Myover50fashionlife You do a great job with your updates. I definitely take your advice to heart. And I like the theory of buying when there’s an abundance.
I have a leopard print top and a very nice leopard print jacquard long jacket, and always feel very chic when I wear it. All prints are not for all people, I do not have florals in my wardrobe. It is the choice and variety that makes fashion fun!
Everything in a shop is “on sale” - if it’s at a reduced price it’s “IN the sale” Why do we have to Insist on adopting Americansisms??? It’s just downright annoying,
Loving leopard print a t the moment and burgandy ( can't spelll !I'm sure!) But also really like brown which may not be on trend but is my alternative to black. Had colours done a while ago and black is not for me so brown has been my go to perhaps I should give burgandy ( sorry bad spelling again! ) a try. Great infovas usualb❤❤
Can't stand leopard print unless it is on the leopard. But brown is a very very useful colour. All the pastel colours go with it. Also being dark, I can wear it on the bottom.
Was doing my shopping in Sainsbury’s yesterday and they had leopard print western print jacket with matching jeans skirt. Awful material and couldn’t imagine wearing it - suspect it’ll be in the sale stuff next month. There’s nothing this year jumping out at me though I do love the burgundy shade.

Ann Marie, I know this hasn't anything to do with the video but over the last few videos your hair looks lovely. I'm trying not to do too much to my hair because of thinning. Can you tell me how you manage to get yours looking so good? X😊
Some I like, some not.....but that's style and fashion for you! Could I suggest you change your backdrop. You come across as being pale on pale. Maybe better lighting or more colour? It's always interesting to see what's on trend in the UK. I'm an ex pat now in Canada.
Yes, I had lots of spare room in a medium sized suitcase and wore everything, many twice. As we were out every night it was 12 outfits needed. Yes I did wear things twice too. We didn’t have a washing machine and it was hit and sweaty weather.
I will wear leggings the rest of my life. Loving the different designs like herringbone, the colors I prefer are the darker ones, black, brown, navy, cranberry, dark gray. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I always pack a lightweight white or cream coloured cardigan, it's perfect for day or evening. I take 2 bathing suit bottoms and 2 bathing suit tops that can mixed and matched, 4 different looks. I also have a sarong that matches for a cover-up,
Another reason to avoid polyester is that it can take 200 years to decompose in landfill, it releases microplastics and contributes significantly to carbon emissions when it’s being manufactured.
lol we have very different ideas about packing light. 4 tops, 2 shorts, 2 light bottoms, light jacket and maybe a nicer outfit for evening. Bathing suits take up no room so don't count ;-D
Some useful tips in your Video. I live in spain, we can always pick out the holiday makers, shorts in winter, flip flops, backpacks as well. The Eborian BB cream in nude is worth trying, it hides blemishes and has a sp factor.
I’ve been using the 5 4 3 2 1 method of holiday packing for a while now. It works a treat for me, especially as we normally stay in rentals with a washing machine. ❤xx
Long legs or longer body…your body proportions need to be known .for advice on tuck or not If you are shorter legs to body tucked in or just tummy length top works better imo
I live in Sicily. Tourists are easily identified by silly little backpacks; transparent/lacey tops/trousers/dresses; showing their belly. Do wear bermudas or long trousers, preferably in linen. Crisp shirts with sleeves rolled up always look stylish and fresh; but T-shirts are easier to pack. The backpacks are puzzling: why not a hand/shoulder/crossbody bag? And you can always pick up a nice woven straw bag at a market
I agree; backpacks are awkward to reach in and out of-except for pickpockets. I carry a cross-body bag in a cut- or rip-proof fabric. And although I wear comfortable but stylish outfits, I always wear a money belt/mini bag around my waist. It contains my passport, travel insurance documents, a copy of my prescription, money, hotel key, etc. It has a cable running through the strap and a fake buckle, and is also in cut-resistant material. This also reduces the weight of the cross-body bag. Chic be damned! I will never see any of these people again, so who cares if I wear the same outfit several times? I rinse things out the evening before, and I’m good to go the next morning.
Hello, American just returned from 2 weeks in Portugal and Amsterdam. Carried very small cross body with essentials, and a very light weight day pack. Why both? When traveling, you need more items and room for shopping. Phone chargers, rain gear, water, outerwear, snacks etc. we are seasoned travelers and need to be prepared for different scenarios. I am a tourist, who cares if I look like one.
I was thinking about what you are calling " Neighborhood Fashion" just yesterday. I live in Corpus Christi, Texas where winter lasts about a month and most Sundays Mass is held at the outdoor chapel. I wear capris year round. I would like to look classier, more put together but How? Thank you for thinking of me and my coastal living 'sisters'.
