Georges Schwizgebel, né à Berne en Suisse est un cinéaste que j'adore....merci ! Son fils est devenu un immense pianiste qui a étudié au Conservatoire de Lausanne. Ils collaborent souvent...MERCI.
I come back to this video so many times since its been released. Wonder when the updated version will be out. 2017 has to be Get Out. ‘It’ was very financially successful however ‘Get Out’ was way more acclaimed and started a ‘social horror’ tag. It also has an Oscar. 2018 has to be ‘Hereditary’. A Quiet Place was more financially successful, however ‘Hereditary’ is still brought up a lot today as a modern classic. 2019 I’m honestly torn between ‘Us’ and ‘Midsommar’. I feel like I hear more people talk about Midsommar, however not only was ‘Us’ more financially successful, it also has a bit more acclaim than Midsommar. 2020 has to be ‘The Invisible Man’ it was the only theatrical well-received horror movie of the year (thanks pandemic). 2021 I feel like would be ‘Titane’ since it’s the only horror to win the Palme d’Or. However, I feel like no one’s really talked about it since it’s release. My favorite personally of last year was ‘Malignant’ and it has already developed a sort of cult following. 2022 so far has some options. I think ‘X’ is the front runner considering the acclaim. However a lot of people really like ‘Fresh’ and ‘The Black Phone’ is doing bank at the box office. I wouldn’t put ‘Scream’ there considering it seems weird to put a fifth entry in a franchise for one year. My personal favorite this year so far is ‘Hellbender’ however it is essentially a homemade movie so I understand why a lot of people haven’t seen it. Again, great video, always come back to it 👍
I return to this video every few months to check what movies I still need to watch. I'm impressed by editing, choice of music and your movie taste! Hope you'll make an updated version or another video soon!
@@juliahornback2843 Seconding that one! As for the other years... 2021- Candyman 2023 - Godzilla Minus One As for so far in 2024, maybe Late Night with the Devil? (Though not any of the bits with AI, obviously).
Here's what I would pick: 2017 - Get Out 2018 - Hereditary 2019 - Midsommar 2020 - The Invisible Man 2021 - Candyman 2022 - Nope 2023 - Godzilla Minus One 2024 - My guess it might be Robert Eggers' Nosferatu
God, I keep coming back to this. First of all, for the gorgeous editing. Second of all, for the hopes that it’s been extended to include the last couple of years. Absolutely gorgeous. I wish there was an updated version.
