Great video I'm going to make one for my dog but i changed the measurements to kc measurements because my dogs much bigger so for the people asking how big to make it for their larger dogs I estimated Base 2 x t-pieces 4 x elbow joints 2 x pvc pipe 10 cm length 2 x pvc pipe 1m length 2 x pvc pipe 59 cm length Upright 2 x t-pieces 2 x elbow joints 2 x pvc pipe 39 cm length 2 x pvc pipe 59 cm length Board 2 elbow joints 1x t-pieces 1 x pvc pipe 28cm length plank 3.66m
So glad that I found this video. My dog is beginning to launch way to soon, and stutter stepping as well. She is beginning to show fear in Agility. Hopefully these exercises will help. THANKS!!
I love this!! just made one- what is the secret to getting the board to come back to 1 side? I made sure to mount the 1/2 slice of PVC off center. could the board i am using be too heavy? it is about 11 1/2 (29cm)inches wide. any tips? thank you. I love the painting you put on yours
i figured it out.. it is to be put "off center " on the length of the board.. i put if off center in the middle where it sits on the folrcum. the screws i used for mine makes a sound .. i need to find some smaller head screws i guess. :)
I have an Cockatoo and he can get loud...I can imagine how a whole flock must sound. I like the idea of the slide off door hinges, thanks for the video
For all those asking about the plank. According to the AKC the board should be 12 inches wide by 12 feet long and 24 inches high from the top of the board at the pivot point. There should be 42 inch long yellow contact points at the ends of the board and painted another color in between....most I see are blue....use flat paint with sand in it or sprinkle sand over the wet paint. But for home training I use a shorter board and lower height. The longer the board the higher and more imposing it looks and shorter for when your dog jumps off...the size of her stand and plank look really good for home training for most size dogs. FYI for small dogs and shorter board you can probably get away with 1 inch PVC pipe, for bigger I would probably go with 2 or 4 inch depending on how big your dog is.....the bigger the safer...these are just recommendations you all know your dog and how heavy and how rough it jumps so I am not liable for any hurt dogs.
Hi please I need your help really bad My dog is 7 months old and he’s a rescue dog He’s a stray I got him when he was 20 days old It was al going good till he started being aggressive Now when I pet him he attacks very badly He has attacked My maid, brother, mother, father and sister When he attacks he rips our skins off and it hurts pretty bad. He growls and attacks anyone who comes near him I want him to stay out of the house on the balcony(it’s huge and safe)since my parents don’t want him inside.so how long will it take him to adjust outside Please tell me what to do.if he doesn’t stop my parents will send him away
Hello, I was wondering if you still have ur rescue dog. Did you have to get rid of your fur baby? I know it has been a few years since you posted here. The pup has aggressive behavior first of all if it was going well when you first got him. The bottom line iwhat changed what happened. Once you know the answer you can change the behavior. In the Meantime give the dog lots and lots of Love. Until then put a muzzle on him. Or give him some beef jurky. He should be come ur bestie after that.

Just adopted an adorable and smart border collie. I want to start agility training just to keep him challenged. Your DIY are awesome; easy, smart, simple. I’m throughly impressed. Looks like I have a few years of your videos to catch up.
