My story - on April 9, 2017, I experienced a massive heart attack called the “Widow Maker”. The widowmaker only has a 3% survival rate but I was one of the lucky ones. I was given this incredible opportunity for a second chance at life, and I have taken full advantage of it.
In 2020 and during the Covid shutdown, my wife and I purchased Electric Mountain bikes and a Sea-Doo Spark 3 up Jet Ski and we have been having a blast. I have been riding 2 to 3 times a week since and have been taken off all my blood pressure and cholesterol medication. My goal is not to just share our travels of mountain biking and Jet Skiing, but also to share the health benefits it brings as well.
Las Vegas offers so much more than the bright lights of the Strip. We have some of the most beautiful landscapes and history that we would love to share with you. So thanks for stopping by, please subscribe because I'd love to have you come along and follow our Vegas Hyper Adventures!
First of all, what a beautiful trail surrounded by boulders and wild desert. Second, your drone did an amazing flight following you especially going under the tree canopies. We have never been to Prescott, we def have to go!!
It was really a fun trip. Historic downtown was like going back in a time machine. Great restaurants and even a whiskey row! Sitting in the park watching everyone walking their dogs and kids playing tag, it was like going back to the 80's. Sedona is only about an hour or so away for a quick day trip 😜
Nice tour man! I need to see the Hoover Dam from this side in Lake Mead. We just rode up to the other side of the dam a few weeks ago on our Waverunners. That was an epic adventure through Black Canyon.✌😎
@billythephoenix That is my next ride. I want to start at cottonwood cove and ride up to the dam through willow beach. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe if you havent already and I will do the same.
Same here Randy!! I am having a blast on my 29er as well. A new front shock is a game changer, I do recommend an air shock for sure. Your riding style will determine the brand of shock and MM of travel needed. I went with the Rock Shox which seems to be very popular and affordable. Here is the link to what I purchased. www.amazon.com/dp/B0857DR1J1?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details You will also need to change out the headset. Here is what I purchased. 44-44mm www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZFK6M64?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I have a new, never-mounted, DNM AOY-36RC 165mm shock that I'd sell for $75 shipped. It's plug-and-play for our bikes. Dual air chambers. I went with a new linkage and longer (190mm) shock (same model) and it's a great shock. I also have the same fork that Tony posted but 120mm. Brand new in box. You'd still need the adapter. I have this same fork on my Hyper. $200 shipped.
I'm just surprised we don't see snakes sitting on the trail in most of these videos Makes me feel a little more confident about riding out there next year on vacation
How was it converting the 26 inch bike rear to disc brakes? is it just bolt the disc on and mount the caliper? I have to say that the 26 inch one looks cooler because the tires look fatter because of the size. Either way , nice job.
nice vid! thanks for sharing :) but there is something going on with the 'thumb up' v 'thumb down' buttons above. there is ONLY 'thumb down' appearing as option???
Hey, I installed these on my bike and they seem to be a great fit however, how can I stop them from grabbing the rotor already? I tried looking for an adjustment on the cylinders but there is none.
@nicoargca That is awesome. They work great once you get them adjusted. There are some other video's that you can search for adjusting mechanical breaks that may help. Or, if you have an REI in your area, they work on my bikes and do a good job and are very affordable.
@@VegasHyperAdventures you know I found the screw, it is a 2mm hex that sits on the "elbow" part. But it didn't help much. I had to loosen up the actual brake piece at the top to let the rotor lose.
The Hyper mid drive is the worst $800 + $500 upgrades ever spent! Im so pissed the rear suspension thing snapped which ruined the bike, customer service is not accepting it back but at least I can put the Maxxis tiers, Rochshox, new brakes and others upgrades on my Schwinn Axum Hardtail because it has entry level junk.
Man thats so agreeable I cant wait to retire with my wife. (im 37) I have a rv and it was the best money spend it is so much fun to bring the kids up to the mountains to bike around and camp.
@VegasHyperAdventures Bike bags. Can they be put on the sides of the bike? Or can you put a bike rack on the back? The bike is an unusual shape so I'm wondering if it's possible to install them on this bike. Thanks for your response.
@JohnDoe-xk8iy I have slowed down a lot on the work front. I just handle a few of my bigger clients and am semi retired, just waiting for my wife to retire 🙃
@@VegasHyperAdventures we are taking a week and a half vacation out in the Colorado Utah Arizona New Mexico territory we were going to go do a bunch of bike riding on easy trails but decided not to now it's just become a big road trip and lots of drone cinematography.
I'm with you. I did that in my younger days with bikes, dirt bike's and mini bikes. I'm 65 now and I had a blast. Keep having fun. Some day I'm going to load up are ebikes and try red rock..
Try charging it with the battery out of the bike. Be sure you turn the power button on when charging. If that does not work, contact Hyper for a new charger.
So we just purchased this bike in black and the power keeps cutting out and they sent me instructions on how to something to do with flip the bike over the disc break the snap well that doesn’t have anything to do with this particular model because that’s not the same as the beach cruiser one that I have, which is a totally different set up. Does anybody having any trouble with power cutting off? And if yes, can you send me some suggestions on how to fix it or if somebody’s done a video on it the instructions from hyper on how to fix this troubleshoot it are not very helpful
Oh man, im sorry to hear that. I have no idea where the sensor is located on this bike, but i would start there. Maybe google where the sensor is located and go from there. Sorry I couldnt help you.
There are 10 individual cells in your 36v battery. When new, they do not always all charge to the exact same voltage. Your BMS will notice this and shut the battery off because it is not "balanced". A great safety feature, but also a pain. To correct this, search youtube for "how to properly balance an ebike battery." There is a 1:26 video from Aerial that I consider to be spot on. (it doesn't matter what brand of bike/battery). Of course, there are a lot more videos that go into a lot more detail that you can watch as well. Good Luck
I hear you. As long as you're still riding, it doesn't matter what trails your riding. Just keep riding. My wife and I ride more of the gravel, jeep trails, and still enjoy it just as much!
So far, they have been great. It is my wifes bike, so she doesn't really crank like maybe you and I. I have ridden it about 3 times and climbed a few hills with no problems. I just switched it out to a 7 speed, adding a 14 to 34 rear cassette and new derailleur. Will be doing an update vid soon. Crank set is well worth the money.
@@VegasHyperAdventures Thanks for the reply and review and letting me know about it being the wifeys bike and that the torque output may not be the same.
What happens if that Drone were to pick up the wrong person or another biker and just take off flying tracking them? Is there any manual controls whatsoever or is it completely automated and could technically crash off in the hills somewhere if it hits a tall object.
Good question. I have not experienced that happening as of yet. It has been really good at just tracking me as it stayed on me while riding with my wife. It does have a manual control option through the app on your phone but is a little hard to use and needs wifi, which, I go to a lot of places that you lose wifi. Yes, it could hit tall objects. It does pretty well in follow me mode as the camera does see and go around most objects. It is mainly a flying selfie stick and is limited on when to use it. I will only use this in places that I know the trail is wide open. I am having fun a lot of fun with it!!
It would be awesome to be in a flat-ish area, I live in San Diego and the trails out in the county are so hilly for a 10 mile loop the incline is 1,500 ft. and hope you have fun in AZ!
My entire family loves the beach because were from Florida, California, and Hawaii. But I am a mountain and desert guy. Nothing beats a nice downhill mtb ride in mammoth, or a scenic ride in Anza-Borrego desert.
Right. I noticed a huge difference in my workout. I think the mid drive was giving me too much assistance. I love riding this hardtail, and I have it dialed in. The other thing is, I was always having to tinker with the mid drrive bikes as there was always something not just right 🤣
