Those rodent water bottle dispensers they sell at pet stores easily build up bacteria and mold over time plus they have so many other issues like leaking, etc. water bowls are the best option, especially a small heavy one like this
I rehomed a puppy I’d adopted from the pound. I don’t regret it at all. She didn’t get along with my 7 lb Lhasa Apso. They’d told me she was only going to grow to 25 lbs, but within 3 weeks, she was 40 lbs. I lived in a studio apartment that had a pet weight limit, and she’d already injured my smaller dog on accident. I had a friend who loved big dogs and could handle her. He took her in, and she has thrived with a huge backyard and other big dogs that can actually play with her. She’s huge now. They think she’s part Great Dane. She comes up to my hip. There’s no way she would have been allowed to stay at my apartment.
For the playpen, I suggest adding plenty of unscented tissues for them to forage, a multi chamber hideout and I personally bought a hamster slide and house hideouts for my hamsters, it’s so fun and my hamster would constantly slide down on it. It’s great for taking photos and stuff. I also suggest adding treats around like pea flakes near the running wheel, mealworms inside the hideouts etc. they would try to find it and it would make playtime more interactive!❤
tip: put bedding (and the cardboard but you don’t need to do that) into the holes of the bordem breaker with the food to challenge her more ❤ i have some tutorials in my account 🥰 so cute!
so cute! i know you mentioned your ordering new stuff so here’s some ideas: - sprays - forage - substrates for different textures these are all important for your hamster! she’s so cute❤

couple suggestions for playpen time ...start with making the area a bit smaller then gradually make it bigger over time , you could try putting down something on the floor then putting in some of her bedding around the area and add more things if you can .
