When you meet with him and his lovely wife, they will ask you - where do you want to go? and what is your dream? Then they will begin suggesting the things you should have fitted and start designing you a solution camper to specifically meet with your requirements. For example, if you didn't want a snappy chef induction stove, it could be swapped out for a gas plate stove. This is also true for geyser, suspension, 12v and 240v Electrical Systems, etc... All you have to do is tell Jos what your budget is, and what you want him to build you. He is currently busy with a fleet of campers for National Geographic. It might be worthwhile for you to pop in and see them if you're interested in coming onboard. Well...besides the obvious - that this would be a terrible getaway vehicle, 🤣🤣 because its built for comfort and rough terrains and not high speed car chases 🤣🤣🤣. However, to answer your question better, most Motorhomers invest in 3rd party vehicle tracking and GPS recovery services. Not only because it keeps the insurance premiums low. Moreso like you say. pensioners want to look after their motorhomes because they are a significant expense and investment. We have only ever seen two armored motorhomes in our lifetime. When you armor your motorhome it becomes a lot slower and you will consume more in fuel when you travel because of the extra armored weight. In most instances, local motorhome owners usually travel armed. Though we have never received any reports of pensioners needing to use their firearms on their adventures. Although it is always advisable to always be prepared, which is both the scouts motto and the caravanning community mantra. Stolen motorhomes are often quickly and easily recovered, and not often sought after for hijacking purposes. We hope that gives you more peace of mind. 🙂🙂

You can use a Porta Potti or Cassette toilet in the shower cubicle. So yes, it does offer toilet feature.

We didn't get to see the Gen1, we saw this exact model at the 2024 Caravan Show with hoards of campers admiring the level of craftsmanship and affordability. We personally saw two deposits being paid by customers that have requested this Caravan in the 45 minutes that we spent at their stand. Which is why we had to request Outbound Campers for us to review this model! Where is that like button!

But yes, it does sound pragmatic to remove the window, fit in a new panel PVC board and install a new window inside the PVC sleeve. Good luck!

Absolutely Agree Renier, We suspect this model was developed to compete in the lightweight and compact on-road caravan market. Specifically targeting the old Gypsey light range when it was manufactured by Jurgens CI. Jurie from Quantum Caravans has done a fantastic job on the Quantum Carnival. its basic, deceptively spacious and very affordable. The Carnival offers everything you would need on 7-12 day on-road camping trip or longer. We like it!

Ok, So this is the Mobi XL which is a much smaller and compact version of their best selling Mobi Lodge Continental caravan. We think you and your wife might be better suited towards the Continental edition. as it has a full and spacious bathroom near the nose of the caravan (the envy of all spouses). This particular model (the XL) was designed for young families that may or may not enjoy local on road- caravanning with resorts with Bathrooms and some basic off-grid wild camping - those resorts who do not offer local ablution facilities. The Mobi XL was designed for customers who cannot yet afford the top of the range Mobi Lodge Caravan, yet still wanted a quality entry level caravan that is easy to store within security complexes and smaller homes. the Mobi XL is a great little Caravan - we are excited to head to Kosi Bay with it in January for a spot of fishing and R&R.

Thanks Allan, we have also used Weber's in the past, and they are great. Though you need to compare apples with apples when comparing the two. The Weber is not nearly as portable as a Remoska. a Weber does not provide constant heat, a Remoska does. the Remoska is also extremely easy to clean - the weber grid is a nightmare. then, if you look at what it costs for a bag of charcoal/briquettes versus using only 400w of electricity - the Remoska is cheaper to run/operate. you can use a Remoska indoors, you cant use a weber indoors. yes, smoking your food can be a delicious taste - as it does somewhat dry the outer layer of your meat when flavoring it. A Remoska cooks your food in its original juices and it just tastes better. lastly a Remoska can run off solar power - a Weber cant. in our opinion, some Webers are similarly priced as some Remoska units. although Webers have been around for longer. we would love to invite you over to use ours to see for yourself. though sadly we are not a try before you buy business. feel free to join the Remoskateers on Social media or follow the official Remoska Facebook page to see others that have converted to using this new age technology. Yes, with a 3 way split aircon. The top part of the roof does open extremely wide in a clamshell formation which does provide plenty of airflow. it can also be zipped up for warmth too.
