Would you use this style of clipping 2 year old? We will be breeding her for the first time this year. Trying to decide if we should do this video or you young doe video.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, as a new goat owner, I want to learn how to do as much as I possibly can to ensure my goats have the best life possible. I just recently performed my first castration and it went very smooth. Just bought some hoof trimmers and gonna give it a go.
I just adopted 3 male Nigerian dwarfs and 1 pigmy. 2 of them have terrible hooves. The toes look like long fingernails that extend out about 4 inches. Where do I start? I’m so afraid I’m going to hurt them so really want to be sure I know what I’m doing before I attempt this. I have pictures but where do I send them?
Thank you for this video ! I'm new to trimming and wasn't sure how much I can trim off and if I should do the bottom or if it was the foot pad and I was scared to trim that. Now I can go back out feeling more confident how much to trim . Thank you !
Thank you so much Makayla for bringing your experience to many beginning show families. I have watched this video about 4 times. It is highly informative and the links provided really help me know what to order. Just subscribed to your Facebook group as well.
This was the absolute best video on hoof trimming I’ve seen so far. I feel so much more confident about taking care of my goats hoofs. Thank you for such a thorough close up tutorial. 😊
I just started my Nubian and Fainting herd this year. Thank you so much for sharing!! I am so intimidated by the clippers, but you were so confident it made me feel like I could do it too.
Not my favorite thing to do either, but I can’t stand letting mine walk around on their overgrown hooves. I like these clippers, too! I have a green handled pair from Tractor Supply just like yours.
Thank you for this video! We are almost brand new goat owners and are trying to learn what has to be done! This was super helpful to watch. Thank you for sharing.
Wow, thank you so much for this video! 1 question: you say you sharpen your clippers. But how? Do you demontage it and then on a (big) stone? Or keep it as one piece? With a little piece of stone rubbing it? I have no idea 🤔
