Sharing with you my vintage Star Wars toys and collectables from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s up to the present day. I've been a life long collector of Star Wars toys and I want to share the magic, nostalgia and stories that came along with my collection.
Yes…there is also the 3.75 (1:18) Kenner and modern line. Hasbro has a modern 6 inch line (not sure the scale) and this year moved to a new 4 inch line
Great vid. I been going back and buying loose tcw figures because for some reason as a kid I never stopped by the action figure aisle and went straight to Lego and missed out on this golden era
Thank you! We were opposites! I was going to the action figure aisle and not the Lego! There are some great Lego sets out there!!! Thanks again and MTFBWY!
Be careful with any of the 80s/90s glasses from McDonald's/Burger King/PizzaHut. Many of them feature cadmium yellow paint which can be toxic to humans.
Kinda makes me mad that here you are with all these hard to find items when I use to hunt for these at retail and they were nowhere to be found. Scalpers bought them all up before I could even get them. They ruined the hobby.
Hi! Totally understand your frustration…please let me be clear, I am no scalper…I picked up one piece for myself to try to make a complete a set, left the rest for whoever…and I have loved and held onto my collection for over 40 years. There’s a very clear difference. I see this today as pegs are filled with nothing and it’s a scalpers market. When I collect it’s for my own personal collection (one of each) and never to buy multiples to resell, or hoard from others…not cool. Unfortunately this is true with many items today. May the force be with you!
Thank you!!! I have enjoyed collecting and hunting for neat pieces over the years. Right time and right place in many cases. I was fortunate to have a K Mart, Walmart and Toys r us close to my house (they have all since closed) around 2010. I passed on many items that I regret not purchasing now lol…oh well I have truly enjoyed the hobby and appreciate your comments and feedback. May the force be with you! The Star Wars Vintage Dude
Shout out to you and the Kenner Early Bird set!!! I NEVER had that piece…so awesome! They have a re-issue via Walmart in the 2000s…I’ll post and message you when I do! MTFBWY!
Thank you! I certainly did… Now that I look back at it… Lots of love with the whole collecting and lots of family/friendships along the way. I can clearly remember when the G.I. Joe action figure line came out and my parents told me… You need to make a choice… it’s either Star Wars or G.I. Joe… Of course I stuck with Star Wars lol thanks for sharing. May the force be with you!
Yes!!! Both are great ships! I have the original Y wing somewhere…however I doubt it’s probably incomplete because I can clearly remember building and rebuilding the rear of the ship (they had 4 long posts connected to an engine piece) after encounters with the empire! Great memories! I’ll see if I have the reissue as well…I did find the B wing, which is another great piece from ROTJ
Thank you! Yes, This is true…i try to put in the old Vintage with the new…hard to believe some of these “new” figures are already 20+ years old…I still collect the new “vintage collection” enjoy and may the force be with you!
Hi! Thank you!!! Some of my absolute favorite vintage figures/line was the original “micro collection” from back in the day…keep tuned…I’ll try to post some soon…maybe watch with your kiddo and enjoy! May the force be with you!
Hi! Totally agree!! It was the sign of the times… The style of figures, mimic what was popular at the time. The power of the force original line had these big bodybuilder styles because everybody was big in the movies… Arnold, JCV, Sly…etc. But yes, I agree. The vintage collection is getting everything done that we wanted! at a price, but worth it… Lol keep on watching, posting and have a great day! May the force be with you!
