i can hear that the 81 is much tighter than the 85 and have less low end, but I'm not sure about the output, seems that they're equal in ouput? or the 85 have slightly lower output? nice playing man
Thanks so much, man. Also, I LOVE the different light colors for different voltage. Such a good visual indicator. (..this coming from a person who designed user interfaces and such :))
@@MateuszTrojak "gentle" can suck it. Color is a fantastic communication device (especially in combination with the text). Making the 'hotter' (higher voltage) version red is also simple yet effective. It's the color we associate with heat Perhaps unintentional: the color difference also works for colorblind people - the 18V image seems to emit more light upon your person. Difference in visual contrast / vibe, even in black & white. A fine example of how color can help differentiate between different pieces of information (Only problem is... Now I want those light bars ;))
@@iggysixx I never thought about it this way, so deeply :) I did some similar stuff in other "vs" video (mono in black&white vs color for stereo tracks) and I agree that visuals can compliment this type of video. Thanks for positive reinforcement!
I like them both, but since youre tuned down if I olayed that type of what I call sludfe rock 😂 I would use the 81. In standard tuning which is what I use to play mostly blues based rock I like the 85 in the bridge and I have a 60 im the neck. ❤ Good demo sir and nice looking guitar. ❤
Thank you for comparing these two pickup. And that's a killer riff ! Is there anywhere I can get this song ? Something I want to listen to all the time !
Dude this is soooooo good! U nailed the opeth sound and for me, it’s all about the transitioning opeth does so well going from progressive death metal to like folk ballad type of sound and u def did fantastic job on that here no doubt. Mad respect to ur musicianship man, mad respect✊🏼✊🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼✊🏼✊🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
It’s personal preference whichever you prefer is the right answer remember music is like food it’s subjective because one person says something taste wonderful don’t mean you like it and vice versa ! Just rock out and enjoy life 🤘🏼
I had 81 in bridge and neck position for 20 years but move recently for a 85 for the neck. I tried the 85 in bridge position but it wasn't tight enough to my tastes and I didn't cut through the mix in band situation... So I choose to use the pair as a lot of other guitarists, 81 in bridge and 85 in neck, for me it's the perfect match especially with the SA in middle position🤘
@@MateuszTrojak I returned a Schecter C-1 platinum. Then I picked up another Schecter, a C-1 custom. I really liked the way the platinum played and felt. It's just the pick-ups weren't what I expected. The custom is really nice.
