@@Mrtrainsofficial VIA started that over 20 years ago when trains were being delayed by freights so they combined an Ottawa and Montreal train and split them at Brockville. And they put one backwards so they didn't have to turn a Montral or Ottawa train and they could have faster turn arounds. That is also why there is a cab car at the ends of the new Siemens trainsets .
