A look at most things video game related from the perspective of a 56 year old Scottish bloke. Gameplays, pickups, interviews and general tom foolery are just some of what you'll likely find. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy the channel.
I would second some other comments here. I watch most of your content, it's light-hearted fun and brings a welcome distraction from the rigours of life. I'm comfortably unsociable but did contribute to your live chats in the early years when fewer people knew you. Nowadays I only contribute to 20th Century Gaming's livestreams where it's usually quieter. Very small audiences is my thing and your live chats are now too saturated for me (not a criticism and I'm pleased for you). It sounds like your head and heart are at odds. Just do what makes you happy and feels rights in the moment rather than following set routines which bring unnecessary expectation. I used to regularly upload C64 and Amiga stuff but have taken a little break for now. By the way I really like your driving waffles, very relaxing and different from the norm.
Thanks for taking time to comment sir and I completely get what you mean about the live streams. I guess as a channel grows in size it is going to attract more viewers. Thanks for all your support it is appreciated man.
The weather is bloody awful. I expect extremes with climate change but please let us have some extreme heat once in a while! 😂 You think 30 is bad, 20 along trunk roads is painful! You do have these phases with RU-vid. You'll get the bug back, don't force it. Currently on an early morning bender so a bit off myself too! Take care and as I said, don't force it 🙂
Been lurking on your channel for years. Enjoyed it lots thank you. Love your waffles as I get an insight into you and your life. (I'm a far less sociable fella than you for sure. But all credit to you, you're clearly a good guy who bounces off good people). Waffles aside I guess I've enjoyed your other stuff best. Which I get, takes ages to plan, capture edit etc. But you're good at it when you do. Just do what you're happy and enjoy doing. If it brings you no financial benefit then hopefully you shouldn't have the pressure to produce content, which I'm guessing you do. Your followers will I'm sure look forward to whatever you can put out and understand if you can't keep to a 3 times a week schedule. Keep up the good work fella. At your pace. 👍
the C64 version is probably still the slowest, but getting it at a playable speed is a real achievement given that 3D is its relative weakness. Equivalent of R-Type on the Spectrum perhaps.
Too arcadey for me. Might be something I'd pick up for a fiver but not 25 quid.... Nowhere near the best F1 vid game, which is still Mr. Crammond's Grand Prix 2...
I think that's what appeals to me, it's all about the racing and doesnt require too much thinking. I did like Geoff Crammond's games though it was a simulation which had a lot of scope for tinkering with. Dont think I've seen the second version of the game, I'll need to check it out. As far as arcadey racing thrills go this ticks all the boxes. If they they could increase the cars from 10 to full 23 is it and add in a qualifying lap that would make it ever better.
If you ever put an update out could I ask if it was possible to increase the cars which take part from 10 to the full amount (23 is it?), increase the number of laps in a GP to the full amount and add in a qualifying lap, then it will be the perfect race game IMO.
I have this, it's good but well.. a bit too 'arcadey' for me so I really don't play it much, each to their own I guess. Still a fun game though. (as for best ever F1 game. imo it's still Geoff Crammonds Grand Prix 4)
Looks good, I'm so glad it has the cockpit view, I can't stand the "I'm floating behind my car" arcade based crappy view. I might buy this, thanks mamemeister!
Pure quality tonight, Al. I would never want to give up my love/memories/nostalgia for the Amiga and the ST, but the X68000 is surely the greatest of all home computers, eh? 🤘👽🤘
I paid 146.9p / l for my rental car, but that was diesel. RMC Neil may be quiet for the next week few weeks (approx 10) as he's become an adoptive parent. Expect his return in October. I'm going to ask another question: What is the worst movie you've actually watched in its entirety?
I’m going to give my love to Soul Force here. Not only does it present great gameplay and graphics but has a nice soundtrack as well; all on an unexpanded C64! Such an impressive bit of work from the indie dev/artist Sarah Jane Avory. This looks like a winner to me.
Just watched the entire stream this morning. A very personal musical journey highlighting lifes ups and downs that we all encounter. Very enjoyable and hope you will do it again when you feel like it 😊 Take Care.
Superb waffle mate, hope you're feeling better soon and now a question for you: If I say 'US Gold' which is the first game to pop into your head, now tell me why I should play it!
Hi Gordon, reluctantly I sold them all as I never used them then 10 years later decided to buy them all back again, this time paying about 3 times the price!
Hi Al, quick question for you:- Did you ever buy a game and soon realise it's way too complex for you to play? (I'll admit to doing it at least once: Kerbal Space Program)
I find it amusing you say many times you're not a football fan but you're cancelling your famous sunday stream to watch it. LOL!!! see you next week then, love the streams man.
No apologies necessary, here's the question you missed: My question for the next Waffle: what is your favourite off-the-shelf controller? Not custom built, just one you can buy. I know how things go 🙂 Hope the visit with Panther goes well and I'll look forward to hearing all about it 😁
Chris sorrel did the james pond games along with lots of other great games. This is a truly awful , frustrating game . Within seconds of the screen loading u dead .I remember having on copy back in the day and deleted over the disk within minutes lol
I have to agree with Lukozer in regards to Kim/Kimble Justice. I used to subscribe to Kim but as time went by there appeared to be undertones of a political agenda. I wholeheartedly agree with Lukozer. Keep the politics out of retro gaming and save that sort of stuff for another channel.
Hey Mamemeister, been a subscriber for a long time but not got onto your vids for some time. This is waffle was hilarious, I didn’t know of Lukozer before but he’s straight to the point holding no punches 😂 I listened all the way through and look forward to the next one
Cracking waffle as always, missed it last night as I was feeling a wee bit under the weather and still am today. You cheeky pair are the perfect medicine I need, comic relief is better than anything the chemist can prescribe!
