What a cute name! 🥰 Yes, Custard is a mix of yellow and ginger I've noticed. Even Triscuit the calico, has deeper orange spots. But Custard definitely has the thick ginger fur! It's shed time too 😑
I was so lucky I just got to spend an entire week with these guys and it was absolutely magical. Custard can be a fiery lady but when she is happy, she is very special. I'd do anything for her! 🥰
Custard is the grumpiest out of the three cats. She's been mad at me since Triscuit moved in last year in April but all three love a tummy rub! With Custard, you have to be careful because she does get overstimulated and will bite and claw without warning same with when she gets a brush. Triscuit will do the same because everything is play time 😹. Animal is the most relaxed, as male cats usually are, and appreciates any attention he can get. Custard was a rescue cat who was separated from her mother too early. I adopted her when she was 8 weeks old so I'm guessing it must have happened super early. If she cuddles next to me, she'll still look for nipples on my stomach which is sad and beautiful at the same time. She'll come running for protection if Animal or Triscuit are being bullies or if something has scared her. She's the biggest out of the three but even Custard sometimes needs reassurance.
Thank you! Custard of course, loves watching birds from inside at the window but she doesn't get many chance to experience them up close. I'm glad she gave up after being swooped. I know bird hunting is in a cat's nature but I also know, 100% Custard would not like the taste 😹
Maybe Custard doesn't like the silver vine. A lot of cats like both silver vine & catnip, but some only like one or the other. I had a cat who couldn't care less about catnip but went crazy for the vine but her brother seemed put off by it.
You are right. Custard does have a little pink mouse full of catnip she got when she turned 6 months old and she loved it. Same with Animal, he's got a blue one. Triscuit is the odd one out! I'll have to get some normal catnip now to make sure it's not just Custard being jealous of Triscuit for something else.
She needs a brush and a bath really bad! She gets too stimulated with a brush and then out claws come out by accident. She loves a bath but it's just getting her into the shower without her also getting overly excited and then her running around the house all cute and wet! Custard is a big strong lady, you gotta let her do what what she wants to do 😹
It's a shame my landlady keeps trimming that tree as well. There are times I take Custard to the park but she throws a fit when it's time to go home but usually when she is out, she always has to climb every tree she sees! It was cute when she was little but now, I get worried because she's too smart. 😼
She's gone up there one more time since and I still have no idea how she does it! I did get the step ladder to get her down but she wasn't ready to leave yet so it was a fun struggle getting her back down. Triscuit loves to climb up high and lucky for her, there a few places in the house she can go like a ledge above the front door and her floor to ceiling cat tree but this one isn't one I'm a fan of. I think she knows!
Every Sunday is laundry day and they all know it! Triscuit the calico, isn't too comfortable with being outside as she was born around people in a household and the other two guys were rescue cats. She's getting better now but on this day, she was amazing and didn't get scared once.
We have to watch her for shipping bags and anything plastic. She'll even try to stow away in your bag to come to work with you! I've never lived with a cat that craves so much attention but it's ok because she is so adorable.
The good thing about Atari games and consoles is that they are pretty much indestructible. I had no doubt in my mind all of these games would work and I didn't even have to clean any of the contacts. Your collection will still be up and running long after we are all gone! Once you get into these games, you've got entertainment for hours too!
My goodness, I have not watched this one in so long. It's almost 2 years old! Custard, the orange girl on the left, was so small 🥰. She's a big, fluffy girl now and even bigger than Animal there on her right.
UPDATE I quickly discovered that shooting the cheeseburger and arrows from behind will kill them. I played the game for over an hour and got to level 4 which saw the enemies get faster and more abundant as per classic Atari style. Be careful, the game is really addictive because it's got such nostalgic sounds and great colors. It's easy to find on Australian eBay for a decent price. I haven't gone mad yet so this must not be Polybius.
I asked her last night which one of them was in charge, Triscuit, Animal or Custard. Of course, Triscuit squeaked after I said her name. 😹 She is the youngest but she sure is spunky. She usually gets scared when she's outside but this time she really enjoyed herself!
@Iconoplastt I love everything about her. To her beautiful voice because she's always talking, her "pay attention to me" attitude and how she's always ready for a cuddle. She is perfect. She has made all of us so happy 🥰
@@Team_Little_Mates That's amazing, cuddly talkative, opinionated pets are amazing.. Reminds me of my corgi Abbi, she's always got something to say and always by my side ready for a cuddle or treat!
I still have no idea how she did it and she definitely didn't want any help getting down. She's not a fan of being picked up and she was already scared so all I could do was watch her do her usual trick of sliding down the door. It worked and she is safe but I really hope she doesn't do it again!
"There are beasties in the garden, that will never accept your pardon, if you leave the jungle yard in, which we play. Thomasina, please never run away." 😊
The backyard fence is pretty good but in some places we've had to put bricks down to prevent Custard (yes, Custard only 😹) from sneaking out. Unfortunately we live near a main road so letting them stay out by themselves all day could result in tears. If we're didn't live in town, oh for sure, I'd let them roam all day long but I don't know what I would do if one of them never came home.
@@Team_Little_Mates Worst feeling in the world. Mine have always returned, but once my Maine Coon boy came back covered in mud. My best guess is he chased something down into a sewer. Almost lost him. He slept for a whole day & night.
The backyard at our place is the best! It's all fenced in and there's plenty to explore, climb and roll around in. Unfortunately, we live near a main road so I don't want to leave them out all day by themselves but at least I can trust them when they are out there. Both Animal and Custard were rescue cats where Triscuit the calico was adopted from an indoor cat family and you can really tell the difference and trust with all of them when they go out!
@@Team_Little_Mates Most excellent, they are definitely living their best lives and outdoor in a safer environment is sooo soo great, enjoy them soo much!
@@Iconoplastt Of course! They are my favorite little guys. I couldn't live without them. All day long they think about going into the backyard where all day long I think about them. ❤️
It's not bad. It was a cheap one that was supposed to be for everyone for Christmas but Triscuit claimed it first 😹. It was about $120 where the good ones are over $700. I'd love to get the good one but these guys would tear it up instantly so I couldn't justify the price. Triscuit loves climbing up high so it suits her well!
My cat does this so what I do is shake their bowl to make sure they can’t see the bottom of the bowl and then tell them no more food until you eat what you’ve got and then walk away, they will eat if you do that enough
I'll have to try it. They wanted wet food and know their cute little faces, meows and fluffy tails usually get what they want. Luckily the food bowls are always empty by the morning, but being tough sure is difficult sometimes!
This was on Friday last week. I completely forgot about it! I had my beautiful girls keeping me in bed which included big Custard lying there on my legs so I had no choice. They are better than any medicine, aren't they? 😻
