The second video is a lot sadder. A star boxer in the 70s forgotten by society and left to suffer the consequences of his lifestyle. It’s really sad because he seems like a lovely guy. But society chewed him up and spat him out
No he’s not the worse boxer ever..he was 3-0 so those three are the worst boxers ever..at least he made it on tv lol….and Brain Sutherland against Smith?…I’ll take smith.
God I was obsessed with this show when I was 10 or 11 and my Mom would get annoyed when I'd run upstairs scared. "If you're scared stop watching it then!" I told her, "I can't, Mom, it's so interesting!!" She's like "Idk what to tell you then. Stop complaining." Lmao
such a great fighter but such a sad ending. he was a cruiserweight fighter fighting heavyweights. not only that but it was the golden generation of heavyweights so there was no easy fights. I hope people dont remember him for the dementia but to remember his amazing career where he beat some of the greatest fighters and even when he lost he put on a show every time. RIP Irish Jerry quarry.
Mike White was a giant of a fighter but he was nothing special. He got knocked out more than once by smaller opponents. Gonzalez was not small but he was smaller than Mike White.
I know this guy! We shot a horror movie together in Boston in August 2000. Major was a Model working in NYC. ... Not to mention I did Episode 6 Season 2. MTV Fear 😂
Come on man...you actually know him??? Are you still in contact?? This guy’s performance on this show has been GOLD to me for 20 years now. So is this 100% real, or was he acting?? He’s literally more scared than anybody I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I gotta know more about this guy!!!
Anyone at anytime could easily snap and begin their journey in the darkness of mental illness. Being mentally ill doesn't always have it's roots in your childhood. A traumatic event in your teen years or an event in your adult life can be so horrific it makes you lose your mind. Growing up we had a neighbor lady who had 3 kids and her husband left them. Over the next 2 years the daily grind of taking care of 3 kids on limited income- never having enough food, clothes, school supplies, etc., literally drove that woman crazy. She ended up in a mental institution and the 3 kids went to a foster home. I have no idea whatever happened to them after that, but clearly this affected their lives and I hope they were able to overcome the breakup of their family. The woman in the video above is nothing to laugh at. At any given time there are literally thousands of people with mental illness living on the streets with absolutely no one to care for them or no idea as to how to help themselves. When large mental institutions shut down they simply turn these poor souls out onto the streets and that's where so many of them live the rest of their lives. How can you possibly me proud of yourself when you make the nasty comments you make here in the comment section?
Is he dead ? He was having a seizure ? Is he okay? It appears that dude didn't want to box and started moving like a chicken lol. I don't know what I just watched lol.
So back in the early/mid-90’s, I used to show all of my friends this fight because it’s so hysterical. If you watch the slow-mo replays after the fight is over, one of the announcers says “looks like some kind of weird bird”, so then one of my buddies started calling him Birdman. It’s not his real nickname.
Bizarre. Even if he had managed to land one of those weird attempts at a punch it would have done absolutely nothing. They looked like attempts at a slap rather than a punch.
I'm completely shocked Jimmy "The Trainwreck" Smith went down so fast...his head movement is impeccable, I thought it would be like trying to punch a ghost or the wind! Oh well I guess don't smoke Crystal before your boxing match is what I learned here
This man. Ik for a fact this man went insane. You can see it in his whole face. And not only that but alot of people sued mtv bc there was people who couldn't really recover fully from it ( they should have thought about that b4 they went) but the whole thing of "they didnt have enough money " was due to this
This might be the episode that ended the show? He is gone. "I want to see my mom" ... Damn, that's primal stuff. Mtv did probably get hammered for this.
