My Honda concerto is 30 years old this year its booked in for rust repairs tomorrow but still drives better than any car I've owned. 1400 bucks nz. I'm from England and me dad had one for 20 years. Mint car
Straight up I will tell you from first hand experience these engines from the 80's and 90's are ALL known to go past 400,000-500,000 kms on still all original factory sealed blocks (original pistons, head gaskets, bearings etc). B series, D series, F series, H series of this era were built with ZERO obsolescence (manufacturers way of consumer sabotage to decrease life and accelerate repurchase). Used in normal capacity (not raced, abused or neglected) they will literally outlast most peoples driving years and not hard to conceptualise even normal human lives. I have cars that drive like new and yet have over 30 years of use. Most of these were discarded due to inability to diagnose, ability and motivation to do the simple repairs (due to consumer conditioning by companies and removing repairs in the equation of ownership) Modern cars are so problematic (by design) that once they are past warranty they are no longer financially viable to be owned. If you look around, you will see less subsequent generation of cars that have faded paint because they are no longer capable of lasting as long.
I had that happened to me when I send something to Disney except they didn't give it back to me and gave me that same letter and that some of the story might be similar to it. Stupid Disney stole my story and they call the airpirates crooks and Shredder. It was the year that they brought Power rangers and Pokemon. One of my characters reminded me of character from Kim Possible.
Sounds great. I love Talespin and I want to write fan fiction for it. Maybe a live action movie for Talespin might be too violent and what is your story about?
If Talespin does get made into a live action movie Busted or whoever will make a music video about it and sing something like this Don't be mad please stop the hating just be glad that they'll be waiting. Friends we have are ever changing you now the lids about to blow when Baloo's Talespin is go
I really like your idea and appreciate your effort but you have to understand that there are so many people sending in their ideas. You can't tell which one is worth reading and which one isn't. Sadly you can't just send in a script and make them read it. Try to find a producer by pitching the story when Disney is asking for creative heads to produce films. This is way more save. And sending your script in could mean risking your own head by losing all rights to Disney.
A letter from the Walt Disney Company themselves? That in and of itself is something to proud of. I do not know what your name is. ...who doesn't want to write for one the biggest, most well known companies ever to exist? :) You're not the only devoted fan of the show, yet most of us lack the... balls-of-the-mind to write for something they love with absolutely ever part of themselves. The memories of that show- something they have kicking around their heads and then might secretly think of philosophically if life goes bad, or pretty badly challenging. We're all out there, most of us have kids now, some- yeah would prefer an animated remake / continuation. Live-action would graduate this thing into a more mature level, beyond what originally was. I'd love to rent it so I can pause it if I had to use the restroom. You've obviously a good writer. Consider making a video post of you reading it. Such devotion for a 'Kids' Show' as most (even former fans) may dub your devotion for meaningless, but it should be on TV- Your story should get at least a few minutes on the Today Show, instead of the filthy liberals that they attempt to brainwash us with. I like writing to. I once wrote something more than 120 pages long- and COMPLETED the first draft too. Keep it in mind, that letter they sent to you, implies that you to aren't the only Tailspin fan to write for them. Take comfort in that, not pain and/or hatred. Millions of us, back when we were kids watched it and I'm sure plenty of young girls got a fun kick out of Rebecca being Baloo's boss in bit-h mode. lol. I'm on your side. They should of talked to the creators about what might be a masterpiece of your work. However, the last 10 years of their work, usually has been amazing. Some might not look upon computer animation with the same favor.
My dog died a few days ago, even tho she was 9 months I never knew how much she kept me company or even crawled under my blanket to cuddle and sleep with me :( my sister made a video of her. If you wish to see search for "R.I.P diamond"
Don't be sad bro her soul will remember all happy time with u and soon she will will re born for u ... prey for her this made me cry and after this video I was hugging my dalmatian my dog is 8 month this video increased my love to him thank u
I had a 216 on an N reg in nightfire red. It was one of the last of this shape before the the new shape came in. It was without doubt one of the best cars Rover ever made! The Honda engine was an absolute peach. It was smooth, it was reliable, it would love to be revved up to the red line and it would go like stink!! The 216 was one rapid car! I miss it.
Journeyman, I'd like to suggest a long journey in your head after this accident. Eric looked shell-shocked after his accident. He was traumatized. (PTSD) Your loss sounds as bad if not worse. It's magnified because it was your first accident in your first car. This is trauma+loss of identity+a kind of loss of innocence being your first accident - you're mortal and the loss of identity. I get that. 40 years my XRGT was wrecked my happiest images are of blasting through the night under the soft green-glow of the dash lights and the tach nudging 2 grand. My car became my identity. Losing it I lost myself. I know how you feel,. I found a thing called CBT helped a lot. It can help Eric too. See a counsellor and he can help you work through it. Mozz.
May I suggest earning some writing credentials and going to work for Disney? Everyone who currently makes the decisions had to start somewhere. I too would love to revisit Talespin among other great cartoons from the 90s. Or Fuck it, just shoot it yourself as a fan film. It may not have the Disney seal of approval but it would be great for fans of Talespin.
Thanks for the input. May I ask you a favour? I'm a teenager in a market for my first car. I'm on a tight budget, but I want it to be reliable, practical and economical, and my favourite candidate is by far a 1.4 Concerto for just under $1100 with over 120K miles on it that's supposedly in good condition. When have you started noticing problems with yours and what mileage are you talking about? Do you think I should buy it? Thanks in advance!
Wrecks of 1950's, 60's and 70's are being restored all the time, much more this. The design of the Concerto was honest and not made to deter DIY's or have planned obsolescence. It can be resurrected if you or someone else really wants to. Ignoring the indoctrination of Market value vs costs to repair (which to me is a mind set to deter fixing) this car is capable of being fixed, unlike new cars where the parts support is only 10 years and with parts designed to be non serviceable (replace only with no option to rebuild) being all sealed units. Honda and other 3rd party makers still support many parts for these. D Engines can be had for very little and upgrade information/Support to B and even current K series had been done and available. The amount of money to resurrect this may not make sense to the normal person but but the amount you put in, the car will give you back ten fold. They can and have lasted several lifetimes.
@@crxdelsolsir 4 years ago we had to pass it onto charity unfortunately. We aleady had a replacement car and I wasn't able to buy it off my parents nor fix it up out of my own pocket. There's a few around my area for sale however...
@@bornaj.461 sorry, only saw this now... maybe 130k miles. It was a consistent maintenance car which was good when I was a teenager but can't imagine its great if you have a full time job. Hopefully you found enough information a long time ago to make your mind up.
@@xdazamx Oh, thanks for your reply! Yeah it was alright but the bodywork was basically for a scrapyard or it would take too much time, money effort etc. to restore as a daily driver so I went with a really clean stock 6th gen Civic sedan and it's been an amazing car so far (10 months in)
I know this video is old, but my heart goes out to you, this really brought me to tears, thank you for sharing this, I know it must have been hard to make this , and I really do hope your pain has passed, and that you have moved on from this tragety. R.I.P. Daffy.
" I lost mine around a tight corner too, along a freeway and smashed head-on into the steel railing, due to stress and bulling by a particular student in my multimedia classes on a project we were suppossed to be working on. He just didn't want to share the workload and to put it simply, he just didn't get it. That hurt me a great deal tremendously and ultimately lead to my accident." LMFAO! So it was a bully who caused your car accident.. not your own driving? Nice logic
my dog just died today 8 years old, only someone ho has a dog knows how it is to really be loved by someone for ho you truly are not wat job you have not if youre smart or dumb beautiful or ugly just for ho you are i love you Bobita i love you so much.
I say CGI action film as real looking as it can get much like Beowolf, but keep the original characters as furry animals, make the script and themes much like the cartoon but add slightly more mature themes like romance and death in it to add more character development. It could totally work and be successful. Keep the die hard fans by keeping it the way it was but make it look and feel so much more than it ever was ;)
