Happy greetings everyone !!! Hope that the assortment of short videos that have been uploaded here on this channel over the last few years will be fun and enjoyable for all to be seen. My home town is Launceston in Tasmania - Australia and I like model planes, helicopters, radio controlled boats and kite flying. And if you ever see our kites or planes in the sky or boats in the water please drop by and say hello. I will surely be very happy. Best wishes from Nara ............ :-)
I worked on the Games in Sydney and I don’t think there is a more stirring and defining moment of the 2000 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony than all of these stock horses coming out to the theme from the Man from Snowing River.
To think i had the privilege of getting to watch Cathy Freeman represent our wide brown land in person. I've never felt more proud and lucky to be an Australian than i was that day watching a black woman take on the world wearing the green and gold! Sydney still holds the #1 place in my mind for most well executed games ever!
"Qantas 28 flew to 75° south over the ice capped land and mountains in Antarctica..." This flight only licked this great continent. And when will a direct flight from Santiago to Perth take or from Wellington to Cape Town?
" when Australia was great : " until governments " threw us under the bus" now electricity prices : ignored " promises broken !" ( inflation killing Australia " cost of living government : incompetent! (
For a minute, I thought that Indigenous Australian people were singing about Matilda Wormwood from the novel, “Matilda” by Roald Dahl, illustrated by Quentin Blake. 👍🏼 if JumpStart 3rd Grade Mystery Mountain brought you here, because the Australian folk song, “Waltzing Matilda” was heard in the Music Hall activity of the educational MAC/PC game.
Hola, mi amigo MrHelidude: como ha estado? Buenos vuelos en ese bonito lago, en medio de tantos patos. Lo malo es que se hecho un clavado uno de los aviones. Saludos desde Sinaloa, México...!! Soy Caguitas0👍👍🛩️🛩️🛩️✈️✈️
Many happy greetings King. The ducks come to watch too. Luckilily the blue aeroplane was safe after tipping over. Slight modification to the floats will help 🙂

That looked terrific, Nara. I hadn't seen model seaplanes before, but they are certainly exciting to watch. I'm surprised they and the boats were allowed to operate there, with all the wild water-birds around (they seemed to mostly disappear soon after the start!) Here, we can't even tale a kayak out on similar lakes because the birds might complain. Surprised too that there weren't more people at such a lovely spot on such a glorious day.
Oh, we are best friends with those ducks and water birds Jim. They would come and sit on our laps and we feed them sometimes too. They have been here since ancient times. Ha ha Well, at least for 30 ++ years 🦤🦆🦢🐳🐍🐟
It has changel - and also to the better, not at least because of Sydney 2000, a fabulous combination of sports, common culture and landscape. Never forget.
The greatest performance of that wonderful anthem you will ever hear, and the only national anthem rendition to get even close to Whitney Houston’s Star Spangled Banner. With love from England. Sensational from Julie Anthony, spine tingling and perfect my grandad would have loved this (born in Nyngan)
They should have sung Sydney & Melbourne became Chinatowns New Shanghai New Nanjing we love how that sounds Cee-Bee-Dee apartments and suburbs we ooooown We now call Aodaliya hooome...!! Oi Oi Oi...!!
@@gangrenemeat No..in the 24yrs since Sydney 2000, successive Aussie Govts have been profligate in spending. Despite the SURPLUS trade with China we now have a TRILLION debt in which China holds the vast bulk of the IOUs. Chinese are coming over here and presenting the bills for payment and taking real estate in return. Don't blame immigration for that. Aussies only have their own stupidity, sloth & indolence to blame. Oi Oi Oi
@@christianpulido8360 Ok since you have nothing smart to Say... Have you finally learned how to read a map? Telle the distance on your Gleasons of this Flight and explain how it's possible. Like an adult, this time
I'm looking at my globe model and a Gleeson AE right now. This path makes more sense, as do the flights with northern layovers make sense, on a Gleeson. This does NOT make sense whatsoever on a globe model for commercial flights, which apparently wasn't even the purpose of the flight in this video. This path would have to curve amazingly far south to appear over Antarctica the way it does in this video. On the globe, the only portion of Antarctica that is reasonably between Chile and Santiago extends no further than 81 degrees southern declination. Again, this path makes much more sense on a Gleeson map, minus just how far they would have to divert south- but the purpose of this flight was apparently to go south. This would not happen on a commercial flight. Hence, the people loudly making proclamations about this "proving a globe" continue to have no idea what they are talking about.
Well, you would understand better if you read the description of the video. They were testing a more southerly route (which would be useful to avoid facing the jet stream). I mean, it would make sense to read it before commenting, wouldn't it?
Wrong. What does Waltzing Matilda" mean? I looked it up. Waltzing Matilda is the dance you do between 2 big burly policemen walking you off to the jail.
This is the norm down here in Australia. Our most popular flights are Australia to either the USA, Santiago, Johannesburg, Dubai or even Japan. Seems the southern hemisphere especially here in Australia, it is always a decent distance to reach other countries.
For the opening ceremony of the Millennium Olympic Games they did possibly one of the most extravagant performances of our national anthem. Having been born in Sydney a month prior to the night of the opening ceremony, all I can say is that I am proud to be Australian. 🇦🇺❤️
